Last year I took out trip interrupt insurance and when I needed to use it, I got no help from BCAA and had to pay out of my pocket. So I now buy my medical and trip insurance elsewhere. You increased my house insurance by $ 200 and when I checked around, I found you were $ 200 higher than anyone else. So now I buy my home insurance elsewhere. Seems my membership premium has taken a big jump and I cancelled the RV coverage, but looks like I am still being charged for it. They claim to be a BC company but they have sold out your travel to Priceline, an American company and when I compare against going direct, I find they are the same price or much higher and they still list some items in U.S. Dollars. I bought a new car which has a five (5) year roadside coverage. The list goes on and as I said in the message I never received a reply to, I can’t think of one reason to keep my membership. Someone finally phoned me and the one comment that sticks out is «he wasn’t concerned about me renewing my membership»! So after 10 years, I am not renewing.

Amazing service, guess that’s what happens when an intelligent agent answers a ton of questions from an intelligent consumer lol.
Came in to renew parents’ travel insurance, nearing its annual date. Saved over $ 400 from just buying a 3-​day trip coverage instead of the 8-​days; parents will go to Vegas once a year at most, so that’s where the real cost savings. They rarely travel longer than 3 days and if so, you can buy a 1-​day extension for an additional $ 20 or so.
Now I’m pissed at last year’s agent, whoever that was, as I wasn’t there but I digress. Got a $ 20 credit for my renewal this year, better than nothing.
Ask for Dtlama or the Ukrainian lady, very patient.

My car broke down in west van on a Thursday evening and they dispatched a cool guy named Lazlo out to us within thirty minutes. He was cool, funny, and empathetic to our situation. He and his dispatcher helped us solve our dilemma of bringing my car back to the US while still enjoying the weekend. Turned everything around for us

Dead battery after apparently leaving trunk light ON… overnight. Next morning I head out to do some shopping. but… car engine will not ‘turn over’/start. BCAA is called but I can’t get through due to heavy call volume. I decide to leave a voicemail in BCAA’s phone tree. I breath a deep sigh and mutter…‘Yeah, right… like they’ll really be here in 45 minutes’ (as the recording indicates at end of my voicemail). This isn’t based on any previous negative experiences with BCAA… simply my skepticism with life in general.
After 5 minutes I get a callback/​recorded message from BCAA. «A truck will be there within 15 minutes.» OK… now I’ve been — at least — acknowledged by BCAA’s computerized system because I received a Confirmation #…
Ten (5) minutes later … truck arrives. Friendly driver + advises me on the options + Car starts after a boost by BCAA.
Total time = 15 minutes to arrive /​5 minutes to resolve.
Excellent service! I truly was impressed with response time and the BCAA employee himself.

Tried to get a quote for home insurance using there on line service. It was very difficult to use and could not get the template to work. Spoke to the customer service department and was able to get a quote. Unfortunately it was twice as expensive as my current policy for the same coverage and I am a BCAA member. I seriously recommend that you shop around and I would not recommend BCAA for home insurance.

I have had a membership for 10 years and have at least needed them once every year for various situations and they have always pulled through. If you’re a member the rates are very reasonable and the service has always been friendly, especially in a stressful situation. I came into this branch when I lived in Coquitlam to pay my membership in person (before I owned a CC).

BCAA is fantastic for auto road side assistance but they are new at the home owners game and it shows. I have been a home insurance customer of BCAA for almost a year simply because when I signed on the dotted line I paid for a whole year for convenience sake. When I registered with them I thought the answers they provided were vague and it seemed when I asked for further details again very dismissive. They offer a very basic coverage package with very low coverage amounts for items that generally cost much more to replace. I am currently shopping for another insurance provider and I am already getting a far more complete idea of the kind of service I will receive if there is a need for an insurance claim. I think when someone is purchasing home insurance for the first time there is a need for detailed service considering that you have typically invested your life savings to purchase your new home.

The staff at this location is fantastic. Sometimes it can take awhile if there are a lot of people, but it is worth it. They are patient, helpful, well informed, and committed to getting you the best deal on your insurance. We have car and home insurance with them as well as a BCAA membership, of course. We even continue to go to this branch after moving from New Westminster to Surrey.

We’ve had BCAA insurance coverage for the house for ages and I’ve always thought their prices are pretty competitive. I also lock keys in cars all too often, plus I love road tripping, so we finally decided that getting their auto club membership would not be a bad idea, either.
We were really happy with how quickly and efficiently the agent signed us up, and I was over the moon when it turned out that the bonus gift for signing up before Christmas was an Entertainment book. Man, how I love those 2-​for-​1 coupons! So we not only get road service and CAA/​AAA discounts and travel services (free maps, y’all), I’m now also dining out on the cheap. Colour me a happy coupon-​geek.
I had a BCAA membership a long time ago when my Dad bought me them for Christmas as part of the whole live-​at-​home-​plus-​gas-​card-​as-​long-​as you’re-going-to-school plan. I remember that those BCAA road guys were always really nice, and often pretty cute, too.
