Old Crow Bar & Bistro

My family and I stopped by after reading the great reviews. The place is kind of dingy. After being seated, we were told they were out of zucchini for the zucchini grinder. Next, the smoke alarm repeatedly went on and off for several minutes. I ordered a flat bread and 15 minutes later I was told they were all out of them. I then ordered Thai wings and I was told they were all out of those as well. The waitress explained they are busy on the weekends, so on Monday and Tuesdays they are usually out of many items. I ended up getting the honey garlic wings, which were nothing special. My sister and nephew both ordered nachos and my sister sent hers back, as they were nothing more than some chips with a tiny sprinkle of cheese, a few jalapeños, salsa, and sour cream. The waitress explained they had run out of the other toppings. They mixed up the sides for my husband and brother-in-law’s sandwiches. The 3 different wait staff we had tried to be accommodating, but after having to re-​explain all the issues it simply got annoying. I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Terrible food and service! I order nachos for a light snack and got chips with a few drops of burned cheese. The servers would keep forgetting what they had brought us and what we needed. This was not worth the money just go else where but hey I hear they have an ok burger.

Came here to find a non-​touristy place, and it was exactly what we were looking for! Food was outstanding and very reasonably priced, especially compared to places closer to the falls, and the drinks were also fantastic. Would recommend to anyone looking for a tasty lunch/​dinner!

A hidden gem in the outskirts of Niagara. Recommended to try the burgers or philly steak. So we tried both and neither let us down. The burger was stacked high and used fresh ingredients and the fresh cut fries finished it off. They don’t have a kids menu but they made fresh chicken tenders and they too were delicious. Highly recommend this to everyone looking for an off the beat burger.

I’m a giant fan of the Old Crow. There’s no other spot that has a legitimate craft beer selection in the falls. Neither Taps nor Niagara Brewing has in house beers that are better than what Old Crow brings in. They get a lot of Nickelbrook and Great Lakes plus the better local stuff that gets made in NOTL and the surrounding area. Almost always have tall cans of the most recent premium IPA from Great Lakes. My whole family loves to go here at least once a week and their burgers are amazing.

Alright here we go! Came on a Wednesday early afternoon, place was dead empty with only 3 people working — quiet but good. We loved how the menu prices (which are fair!) already include taxes.
Burger: 4.5÷5 — excellent, huge, tastes homemade, the bun gets a little soggy after a while
Poutine: ³⁄₅ — average, the cheese curds had a weird smell to them, wouldn’t order it again
Chili: ⁵⁄₅ — finely ground beef, nice seasoning, flavorful, the melted cheese on top is great, and a great price
Buffalo Chicken Burger: 3.5÷5 — chicken was a bit tough, maybe a tad overcooked. Otherwise very tasty and fresh.
Overall: Pretty nice spot in a city that’s filled with tourist traps. Good service, good food, good prices.

My GF and I wanted to get some food and drinks and picked this place. It was good over all. The bartender was really nice and attentive. It was their 1 year anniversary and it was our too !! We had fish and chips, wings and poutine! POUTINE is amazing. It was our first time having it. They started to give out complimentary food. We met the owner and he was very inviting. If we loved in Canada it would be our spot. I highly recommend this place for anyone in the area.

Usualky this is the spot to go for lunch with coworkers on fridays. Enjoy the specials and burgers. They have a good craft beer selection. Good place to go
Fish and fries is really excelent

This place was one of my favorite points of Niagara. My boyfriend and I were completely shocked we were the only people here on a Sunday evening. We refuse to go to chains, and we found this pace after doing some research.
The beers were local Canadian breweries (had Silversmith which I fell in love with earlier in the day) and the food was delish. The beef sand which was absolutely to die for. The service was genuine and while we were the only ones there, attentive. She even paired the mug with the beer and the coaster with both. That’s detail.
The place was so cool; an awesome garage door which I imagine is quite desirable in the summer months.
I wish more adventurous tourists would veer off the main strip to discover fun places like this.

Most definitely go check out this place! It’s about ten min away from the tourist attractions and it’s over where the locals hang out. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with fresh cut fries and everything was made perfect. Darren knows what he’s doing and is cool down to earth dude. Oh yah the chili is awesome too and the cup is plenty unless you wanna get the bowl and be stuffed before your main food comes lol. Get the Moscow mule cup with berry beer and vodka! Delicious drink. I’m definitely going back next time I’m here in niagara. Thanks for the good experience Darren!

Very good food! My burger was huge and absolutely delicious! We had the loaded potato bites for an appetizer and they were amazing! Wonderful services as well!

My family went here for lunch on Mother’s Day weekend. We were a group of seven with two more joining us for drinks after we ate.
The service and food was delicious and very well presented.
I had the poutine and deep fried pickles. Others enjoyed the burgers and fish and chips, onion rings and sweet potato fries.
Our visit was during the Oast House tap takeover and they had 5 varieties of beer on tap. The waitress was extremely helpful and knowledgable about the beers available and helped us make choices that we would enjoy. I myself am not much of a beer drinker and she was able to suggest something that would be enjoyable for me to drink.
The food was amazing, everyone enjoyed what they ordered and for a pub the presentation was something that I would have expected at a more upscale place. The prices were very reasonable.
I cannot say enough about the service! Our waitress /​bartender was amazing. She had a great upbeat personality and was very knowledgable about all of the beers on tap. Without being intrusive she regularly checked in on us at what would seem like perfect times.
I would highly recommend this place it’s a real gem in downtown Niagara Falls.
