Sterling Inn and Spa

I stayed last night with my husband and got a deluxe room. This room was amazing and spacious. Almost triple the size of a standard hotel room, with a king bed, living area with electric fireplace, jetted tub for 2 and a separate shower with a rain shower head and jets on the wall. The location was a couple of blocks off the Clifton Hill tourist area so there was not much noise, but easy enough to get to all the attractions by foot. It also included free parking and a free continental breakfast in bed which is delicious. I would definately stay here again and for a longer stay to experience the spa and massage service.

I don’t think I’ve enjoyed my stay anywhere more than I did at Sterling, we were greeted (upon request) with strawberries and champagne. The room was amazing, with a few odd handy-​man/​construction issues, but despite that, we entered the room in all its glory, a jet tub to the right, and living area just beyond that, new and chic décor, red white black.
The flatscreen over a fireplace, a clear glass table, some chairs, and the a couch sectioning that room off from the glorious California King… Or I guess in this case, Canada King! An iPhone docking station next to the bed and a bathroom for that same King! This was probably by far my absolute favorite hotel room shower I have ever experienced. 3 people could easily fit in there and. Well, do whatever they want!!! (Bathe, I was thinking bathe)
The massages were out of this world too as well as the restaurant attached.
I cannot recommend this place more, everything was so fantastic! The included breakfast delivered to the room was… Well I could do with out that bit, but the entire stay was wonderful!

I found Sterling Inn online and read most of the reviews and ratings of this Inn to finally decide this one was a good one. It includes a contentinal breakfast and free parking, which is nice because all the other hotels near the falls did not include this. The downside is that you do not get a view of the falls and it is about a 20 minute walk to the main attractions. Being an Inn, I didn’t want to have too high hopes or expectations. But surprisingly enough, I was very impressed. We walked inside and went to the concierge desk to check in, which we then were greeted by a gentlemen who told us everything we needed to know and directed us to our rooms. Once we walked into the room, I was very surprised and impressed. It had a huge stand up glass shower with a steam room, a bar area, a lounge chaise, desk, a flat-​screen tv, and a queen-​size bed with red accents everywhere and dark wooden floors. The other room we got had a jetted jacuzzi tub inside the bathroom and was also extremely spacious. The only downfall to our experience was that we had an ice bucket that was not cleaned and one of the lights on the nightstand wasn’t working. For breakfast, we had orange juice, coffee, chefs choice of eggs, crossiants, ham, cheese, yogurt, granola, and fruits, which was all delivered to the room. Check out for the hotel is 12pm and it was such a breeze, they give you your reciept for the reservations and off you go. I’d have to say being an Inn, this was probably one of the nicest and cleanest ones I’ve been to and I highly recommend staying here.

Came here in March not knowing what to really expect — first ever groupon getaway we had ever used. This place is hands down awesome. The outside does not at all accurately depict the inside. The room is spacious, felt almost like an apartment. The fireplace made the room cozy and the breakfast is great. The steam shower was incredible and I loved that it was separate from the rest of the rest of the bathroom. Being from out of town the front desk was really helpful with directions and recommendations of where to go for food and drinks. Its about a 15 minute walk to Clifton Hill and the falls and ¹⁵⁄₂₀ minute drive to Niagara on the Lake. The morning we left we got a massage and it really was the cherry on top

I have stayed at a TON of wonderful hotels. This was elegant, comfy, easy, conveniently located, CHEAP and a wonderful location. I couldn’t be happier with this place. If I ever go back to Niagara, this is where I’ll stay. Free parking and free breakfast in bed. Wow.

The room is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and it is at a pretty decent location. Make sure to get a room with a jacuzzi tub. Loved it!

Hands down the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in.
I booked a trip for my girlfriend and I to see a show in Buffalo then spend the night in Niagara Falls so we could see the Falls themselves the next day. I got a room at Sterling Inn & Spa primarily because the money was right.
Upon arriving we were told our standard king room was upgraded to a suite. We got a jacuzzi for two, nice shower with top and side feeds, leather furniture, a king size bed, two flat screen TVs and a fireplace. It was gorgeous. Parking, Wi-​Fi, and breakfast were all included which is amazing because the price for the rooms themselves is already a great deal.
This is the only hotel I had to stay at that came with instructions. I don’t mean this as a bad thing, it was exciting and impressive to have a suite that nice with so many features.
The staff was very friendly. I interacted with only three or four staff members but there was not a single person who was reluctant to help or seemed like they were only doing it because they had to.
I was glad breakfast was included but only for the ease of not having to go somewhere to find it in a city I was unfamiliar with when I couldn’t use my phone. I expected to have to go down to a conference room of sorts, which would have been fine. What we got instead blew us away. So much so that I had to take a picture of it and I hate people who Instagram their food (I didn’t go that far). A staff member brought a tray of food for the two of us right to our door. We didn’t have to leave the gorgeous room to have a gourmet breakfast. Quiche, ham, swiss, parfaits, fresh coffee, and fresh croissants were outstanding.
Check out was a breeze, there were no hidden fees or nickel and dime add ons. I’m glad I didn’t have to pay double, but this room was easily worth double what we paid for it.
If I am ever within an hour of this place I will stay here before anyone else for sure.

My husband and I spent 3 nights here. It’s not right by the casinos, but it’s well worth it. You are walking distance from everything and if you need to take a cab it won’t cost much. Really enjoyed our stay. Even the complimentary breakfast was good. I should also note the room we were in was clean. You can tell that housekeeping keeps up with the dusting and keeping the rooms clean.

Best inn/​hotel I’ve ever stayed in, in my entire life. By far. Complimentary breakfast in bed, steam shower, jacuzzi me right near the falls! Me and my boyfriend were living THE LIFE. If we ever go back to the falls that’s where we’d be staying.

My husband and I stayed at the Sterling Inn one night on our honeymoon. We showed up early and they let us check in to our room since it was ready for us. Our room was beautiful. Very spacious and modern. We had a huge bathroom with a large jacuzzi and shower. Our room was very clean. Our room was on the first floor and it was very quiet. We never heard any other guests. They do a continental breakfast each morning and ours was delivered at the exact time we had specified. The bed was super comfortable. It was honestly the best we had slept in weeks. The gym is a little small, but they have enough equipment to get in a decent workout. I believe the spa is on the lower level near the fitness center, although we didn’t use any of the spa services. The area surrounding the inn is a little deserted, but that didn’t bother us at all. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the falls. I honestly would return to Niagara Falls just to stay at the Sterling Inn again.

We hotwired this hotel when we decided to stay an extra day in Canada and see the Falls. We had wanted another night at the Marriott we were at but they were booked solid. Thank goodness because this place was way better. We don’t have a lot of $ to spend on hotels but here we felt like we got the royal treatment for an extremely reasonable price. The front desk person was friendly and helpful. The room was amazing. It was huge. Fireplace, hot tub, large shower with rain shower and side jets, fridge/​freezer. We couldn’t have been happier. And as an awesome bonus-it’s a stones throw from the touristy section of town so you don’t have to pay to park if you want to see the tacky attractions or grab a bite to eat. Worth every penny and then some!!!

I saw this hotel online and fell in love with it. The place is a hidden gem and must the story be told.
The room was great! The standard room was very spacious, comfortable. The air-​conditioner works like a charm, which can be switched to heat mode as well in the winter time. They also have a fire place in the room for couples to enjoy ;) The mattress was very comfortable and firm and made the sleep very comfortable. The chairs in the room were very comfortable to enjoy the dinning in your room. The also have a balcony with couches and 2 chair mini table to enjoy sitting outside. They also have a fridge in the room.
The washroom area is separated into 3 parts a toilet area on its own, a rain shower and a steamer with a clear glass door and a sink area in the middle. They also provide robes which is nice.
I also got the $ 25 scented silk rose petals and it was great as the room smelt like roses as soon as we entered on a multiple occasions during the day.
The Staff was very nice and friendly the entire time and let us park long before our check out time, till we ventured into the Clifton hill. They also gave us a $ 25 spa credit per person but we were able to use it.
They also have a free continental breakfast which comes into the room on your own specified time. It includes Coffee or Tea, 2 Croissants, Chefs choice of eggs, 2 yogurts, little bit of Granola, Ham and Cheese. You can opt out the meat if you don’t eat meat.
The location is great its 2 to 3 mins walk from Clifton hill and is located near various restaurants!
Other Perks Parking is free, so is wifi and they have a seating area near the back entrance which is great if you are waiting on your room or just want to step down.

This review is for the restaurant only (not the hotel or spa). Our dinners were spectacular. We had a variety of courses that included rabbit, steak, chicken, sea food, lamb and salmon. Everything was excellent: presentation, taste, temperature and creativity. The wait staff was some of the best that we have ever encountered. Each course was explained with impeccable service. Even the cocktails were better than usual. There was live music that was good but didn’t interfere with dinner. We stayed after dinner and had more drinks just to listen to the music. One of my few 5 star reviews.
A few small negatives. Entering down a large flight of steps was difficult for one of us (that had difficulty walking). And the entrance was not very nice. I felt like i was entering a restroom instead of a restaurant. Fairly expensive.
But, simply one of the best meals that I have ever had.

Just came back from a one-​night trip to Niagara and my first priority is to review Sterling Inn. Simply phenomenal. I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever been more satisfied overall with a hotel.
Out Standard room was gorgeous, roomy, and comfortable. Bed was quite comfy and the framing was really cool. The electric «fireplace» was a nice touch too. I called to order the scented silk rose petals (a $ 25 cost) the morning we went which was accommodated without an issue. The room really did smell like roses as soon as we entered and it was really nice and romantic. That being said, they were really annoying after the novelty wore off and I had no broom to make them go away, haha.
Washroom was super modern. Absolutely loved the jacuzzi and rain shower and they provide all the great toiletries (including mouthwash, which some hotels do not AND bath salts for the jacuzzi)
Staff were very pleasant the entire time. We arrived about an hour and a half earlier than check-​in time at 4pm and they happened to have our room ready which was great. We were also about 15 minutes late on their already late check-​out time of 12pm but nobody called or tried to rush us out at all.
We didn’t get a chance to see the restaurant or spa, though we would have loved to. They have us a discount card or credit for both, which was nice.
The free continental breakfast was surprisingly delicious and filling! It included coffee, juice, yogurt, muesli, croisants, ham and cheese, and amazing quiche. Free room service and you get to choose what time it comes? What an incredible value.
Even the location of this hotel, which was initially one of my concerns, was great. Only a 3 minute walk to the top of Clifton Hill and so not long at all to the Falls.
I have to look for something I did not like about this hotel. There were no robes. Robes would’ve been nice. That’s literally all I got. And considering, they thought of all the little things I wouldn’t have like bath salts, breakfast in bed, free parking, free wifi, etc I am perfectly okay with that.

Three and a half stars.
I do not understand all the fuss, but I hope to break it down so you can understand the rave reviews, as well as my point.
The best features of this hotel are…
1. Either an amazing steam shower or hot tub in each room. No super ritzy place has this.
2. It looks much nicer on the inside than the outside. After seeing the outside, you feel «surprised» upon entering.
3. The rooms are large and have features such as balconies (overlooking nothing special) and fireplaces. The size of the rooms is a value compared to the other tired large properties around the falls.
The negatives are…
1. The bed was uncomfortable. It was one of the worst hotel beds I have slept on.
2. It is a couple of blocks off the beaten path. This is not bad during the 6 – 7 non-​winter months, but is tough with snow blowing in your face.
3. The property looks like a grey jail from the outside.
4. There are no other real amenities outside of the rooms besides an ok breakfast.
If you are looking for a place a bit off the beaten path where you can escape the Niagara Falls experience while being near the falls, this may be it. It is smaller and not a chain.

Odd architecture and color (grey), unassuming from the outside. Once you enter the lobby, small, is kind of modern with a staircase as the main focus. Get into the rooms and a pleasant surprise awaits you. Romantic setting, warm and spacious rooms with wood floors, wood beam ceilings, fireplace.
The breakfast is included and have a good choice, from continental to a la carte items.
There was no time to check out the Spa.
It has a business center ²⁴⁄₇.
Within walking distance of the Falls

We stayed one night in this hotel during a visit to the Niagara Falls area. The building is a converted dairy, so you’ll recognize it by the milk bottle-​shaped tower over the entrance.
This is a good place to stay if you like to spend time in your hotel room (and don’t care about the view, because there isn’t any). Perfect for a getaway, honeymoon or anniversary.
I liked the modern décor and the wood floors (I feel like they’re cleaner somehow). I liked the firm mattress. The huge shower and toilet in my room were separate from one another, and there was a coffeemaker, cabinets, sink and fridge so you could bring some champagne or sandwiches. Our room also had a working (electric) fireplace, a huge flat screen TV, and reliable free wireless. They bring you breakfast in your room at the time you specify. There is a spa with massages and mani-pedi’s and mud packs for singles and couples, but I didn’t take advantage of it.
There was no bathtub in my room, but a gigantic shower stall with the body jets (though only two out of three were working) and rain showerhead and steam. I really wished there was a bench or chair in there, so I could have a sauna, I don’t really understand the point of the steam when you’re just standing in there? I wound up putting towels on the floor and lying down but it was awkward. There are bathrobes, which is a nice touch, but the towels were not soft, strange for a place that is supposed to be a spa. The staff were perfectly polite if a little diffident.
If you’re traveling with kids, this might not be the place for you. It’s about 15 minutes walk to the falls, there’s no pool, the restaurant is dinner only and kind of fancy for kids, and our room had no bathtub (some do). But if you like to relax in your hotel and you like spas, alone or with your honey, this is a great place to stay.

This place was very nice, don’t be fooled by the exterior. A lot of reviews have mentioned nice features of this place, but my favorite was the jacuzzi tub. After a great deal of walking and exploring it was a pleasure to get in this huge thing and soak. The only reason its not 5 star is location and no view, but its probably about your best choice to stay in area.
The restaurant was good, at bit pricey — but this is a tourist town and the other high quality choices are limited. The walk to the falls is stated a 3 blocks, its probably 5 – 10 minute walk down and 20 min back up the hill.
As the Niagra falls area has become over commercialized and a tourist mecca, the Canadian side is the only only to stay, the American side is horrible unless for day trips. I also suggest the Maid of Mist boat ride, the Jet boat tour and the cable car ride above the river.

The only thing negative I have to say is that it’s all the way in Niagara. I wish this place was in Toronto because I would sell my home to live here for a year. It’s also a bit expensive but VERY WORTH IT.
When you compare hotel locations in Niagara, I don’t think the value of this place can be beat. The rooms are huge! The bathrooms, Oh My God amazing! This is the first time I had a rain head shower, so maybe that was a big bonus as well. I got the jacuzzi tub and as you read from Lisa they also have a steam shower which I did not get the chance to try but the jacuzzi was amazing. I know when you go to places like Niagara you don’t really care for the hotel you’re staying at but in actuality I did not want to leave the hotel because the bed was so comfortable and the jacuzzi was to die for!
I didn’t really know how to work the fireplace… I wasn’t really paying attention to that… HUGE TV and Breakfast in bed ^_​^. You get this list the night before and fill it out and hand it on your door, then the next day VOILA it comes to you on a cute little tray! It’s not amazing food but at least its one meal you have taken care of before you explore Niagara, or at least its something in your stomach after the alcohol binge the night before!
I didn’t want to leve the bed, I didn’t really want to leave the hotel but I did. The location is very good, it’s close to clifton hill and other attractions. You will need a cab for the casinos unless it is the summer and you can walk.
AMAZING Hotel… Only place i’d stay (unless I have no money…)
Cost: 1 room a little over $ 190
This place is amazing… that’s all I can say.
