Spécialités
We have a 2 acre farm where we grow most of the produce for our restaurant. We make our own bread, butter and cheese. We bring in whole animals and do all of our own butchery. We have an exceptional team of talented and committed professionals. We have 3 sommeliers on staff and a heavy Niagara VQA list supplement with a select international selection of wine.
Historique
Fondé en 2015.
We started out as Gastrohomestead and for two years we catered and ran pop-ups before opening Backhouse. We returned to the town where met, where we fell in love and where we married and threw our hands in the air, sold everything and started our dream.

As Executive Chef and owner Ryan Crawford brings more than twenty years of culinary experience to Backhouse. He was named best chef in Ontario by Terrior in 2012. He works hard and then he works even harder. His commitment to providing the best possible ingredients and experience for his guests is shown in his commitment to farming, his very selective choice of suppliers and the dedication of his team.
