I’m not one to write complaints about restaurants but I had such a bad experience that I had to speak up. I’ve eaten at a number of amazing local establishments both in Sidney and Victoria over the last 25 years and this has to be one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in awhile. I’m very confused and surprised as the why there is such a high rating at this restaurant. Let’s see where do I start: 1) After ordering, I had to wait 30 minutes before being served the food. Only about six other guests were in restaurant at the time, 2) Once the food did arrive it was a major disappointment. I ordered the Chipolte chicken wrap which had no chipolte sauce, no tomatoes, no bacon and the chicken was dry, tasteless and cold, 3) The yam fries that came with the wrap were brown and burnt-I couldn’t believe I was being served these. I politely told the waitress about it and she gave me a new plate of yam fries which were mostly uncooked. 4) My husband had the soup of the day which was split pea and ham and he said it was terrible. It tasted like the soup had been thickened with flour, and had a pasty, gritty feel to it. It’s such a shame to see local restaurants not make the effort to encourage locals and tourists, especially so close to the BC Ferry terminal. I imagine many tourists would eat here and this, unfortunately, will not make a great impression.

Not sure of the address, but this is a little gem… tucked into the Canoe Cove Marina, walking distance from the B.C. Ferry Terminal, if you’re stuck in line there, and reached by the«pick up/drop off» road to the terminal… this is an old style coffee shop… perfect for breakfast(French Toast!!) and for lunch(Grilled Cheese!!)…and, best of all, you’re surrounded by boats, some at the dock, some on the weighs… an almost East Coast seacoast vibe, here… for all Wharf Rats, this is one not to be missed!
