I’ve been going to Tiffany and Karl at Hair Mode to get my hair cut for years and they always do a great job. If you’re going for the first time, it’s a good idea to bring some pictures of what you want. But after they get to know you, your hair, and what you like, it’s gravy.
There’s always something cool on the stereo — lots of ‘70s and ‘80s classics — and good conversation all around. I live some distance away from the salon now, but it’s always a good time when I go there.
In the last couple years, Lucy the Pug has been added to the mix of personalities at the salon. She barks when anyone walks in the door (pity the mailman), but will just as soon curl up in my lap for a nap while I’m getting my hair done.
Hair Mode now also carries the full line of Aveda hair products for sale, and they also use Aveda for styling. A little pricey, Aveda, but it smells fantastic and lasts forever.
