I’m not sure what’s going on at this location, but in the past few weeks my spouse & I have tried to come multiple times and every single time they feed us some kind of excuse about why they are closing early. If you can’t afford your location change your hours, it’s extremely annoying to come and 4⁄5 times be told you can’t come in. The service is always great & the food is decent. Closing early without notice on a regular basis is going to drive away any type of customer you could hold on to.

The chicken was extremely salty and bland. Service was quick and the guy was very polite. Swiss chalet was highly recommended by my sister who lives in Regina, SK and i had to make sure to eat there so I did. But was disappointed and came out not happy. Normally, I skip the bread and butter but given the siZe of the chicken, i had to eat the bread to just to fill myself more. Coming back? Prolly not. Not at this branch to say the least.

Had a nice dinner tonight, our server Jocelyn was very nice and professional. Love this location because it has plenty of parking. And they also serve Harveys burger :)

Nice location… sometimes the service is excellent and sometimes not. I mean, it is Swiss Chalet… been eating at the Swiss Chalet restaurants for over 30 years… my first experience in Toronto

I felt obliged to write another update after my take out meal today. I had been noticing a further decline in quality but my last few take out meals have been the last straw for a franchise I have previously enjoyed for a long, long time. One could say that I should have checked, but perhaps I wanted to be surprised, that the fries were over cooked… again. This time the chicken was far superior to the last time but I fail to see how they could prepare and serve the fries thinking that they were at all acceptable. North Vancouver is in dire need of more family style restaurants. The owners of this Swiss Chalet only need to look at how busy White Spot at Park & Tilford constantly is to know this to be true. Yet, I constantly see this franchise 80% empty and even when they are busy there is never someone to greet you at the door. I want to see them succeed I really do but all I see them doing is going further downhill every time I have been back.

I have a soft spot for Swiss chalet in general. I love Chicken. It’s not mind blowing chicken, however, it’s better than KFC and a reasonable atmosphere if you want to spend a lazy guilty pleasure Sunday rainy afternoon. The prices are really reasonable for the portions. My mom and I were on an eating plan at once point and found that their basic meal was a good compromise. Service was decent. It wasn’t busy when my mom and I went.

Just ordered lunch. Order # 1259 – 438 Chicken club wrap which I have enjoyed previously at other locations for well over 10 years. This wrap was filled with bones and cartilage. Most disgusting thing I’ve had yet. I tried to complain directly via the survey but the app won’t allow it. Maybe I got the crap y meat because it was take out.

solid 3.5, b/c it’s the newest one that i know of, in the Lower Mainland. Right with the other big box stores here, by Golf Town. Anyways, it’s larger than the Burnaby one, and this one has nice TV’s, a bonus. Booth seating too.

I have been to this location several times since it has opened. Every time I have been there, there is always a problem. From poor service, rude servers to dried out chicken. I waited for this location to out grow the growing pains but it appears that they have not and will not. I have done take out as well which is not much better than being in the restaurant. Last time I did take out the girl at the counter couldn’t even count out my change manually. When I tried to help her as it was taking too long, she got upset and almost cried. I actually had to get my phone calculator out to show her hoe to do the math. The caesar salad is always small, warm, wilted, and pathetic. Once I drove home to find that they forgot to put the chalet sauce in my order. The most important ingredient and famous to their restaurant! I wont be back, which is too bad as the old location was always good. Really unappealing food and service. Don’t go, you will be disappointed!

Do not use their online order service. Payment is required up-front online, and they call you once they’ve taken your money to inform you about items they do not have in stock. In my case I ordered a half rack of ribs and a half chicken and another entrée. What happened next was a phone call from the manager on that day informing me at 6PM they did not have any ribs. I asked if something could be substituted and was told«no». I was then informed that I would be entitled to a credit for next time for the difference. I asked for a confirmation number or some form of information this could be verified against and was told to simply give my name and phone number. The next time came around and I called to inquire about my credit. The manager was unaware of the credit(a month had passed). I explained the date, the total amount of the order and what items were on that bill. They had no recollection, no information related to my name or phone number. I was assured that I would receive a call back within 5 minutes the same evening as they would find the other manager. No phone call back, no courtesy, no customer service. The lack of follow through, or standard to simply credit back to the credit card for the difference or to offer a gift card was completely too much for someone to think of executing at this location. I will not be back, and that now goes for the whole chain. Franchises should uphold the brand they benefit to hold and promote themselves under. That includes when things go bad, to make things right and not steal money. This amounts to petty theft, legally. Not happy.

Went there twice in the first month of opening. Lots of growing pains. NO coke avail. No Bread. It was almost like they were unprepared for something called DINNER. what we did order was good and consistent, but running out of things so early in the evening should not happen. Will wait a few more months to let them wrinkle out their issues, and I’ll be back.
