I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone getting waxing done. The customer service at the front desk was terrible, they have a waiting room before you enter the «spa area» but I wasn’t even offered to wait inside and sit. Instead I stood there for 15 minutes while the receptionist ignored me. I asked how much longer and she said you can come in and follow the eyebrow waxing lady who just walked away. I called the receptionist back out to see where I was supposed to go and she escorted me to the back and asked me for the third time what I was getting waxed. The eyebrow lady came out with attitude so I decided to leave the place. Terrible customer service.

I went in for a haircut here. The hair stylist rushed me and when I wanted to discuss what suited me he was like its up to you. I did not like that. He did not speak a word after that. I decided to go for bangs and then he spoke a word that I shouldn’t. I still went ahead with it and it suited me a lot. I also found it over pricy I wAs told it would cost $ 70 but they charged me $ 90 just because of hair volume which does not make sense. My hair wash was rushed. He also told me to hurry up as he has other appointments just 1 min after walking in. At the end I liked the hair cut but just because of the service I’ll not go back here.

About a month ago I was due for a colour. I decided to go here since it was very close and convenient. I thought for sure nothing could go wrong, since I used to get my hair cut here when I worked in the mall a few years ago. 1^st of all the staff is all new. 2^nd they still lack customer service friendliness, but it is better. I met with the colourist, after a brief consultation, she went to work. She talked the talk and sounded like she knew what she was doing. My hair once it was done seemed pretty dark, but I decided to go home and check it out in natural lighting… it definitely was brown, probably every shade of brown was in my hair. The top was reddish, the middle green brown, the ends black brown. I quickly called and she was very nice about it and said that I could come for a tone, however I decided not to go, because a tone will not get rid of the array of shades of brown in my hair. To her defense my hair was coloured before, with the ends leaving a bit of an old ombré, but when you are charging $ 120 just for colour and telling me what needs to happen, I expect better than a spotted leopard look! Lesson learned!

Dominic is the best for haircutting/​styling, and Alex for colouring! happy with everything from front entrance (first impression) to actual style/​colour to washing stations!

Claudio is the best for cutting hair. I highly recommend everyone go to him. He is the only hair dresser I trust. I am not to sure about the others in there but I bet they do just as good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable for what you get done.

Alex is GREAT for colour! He really knows what he’s doing, takes his time and does a lovely job. Helped fix a disgusting dip dye I got a few years ago and since then I love going to him for colour!
For cuts, I’ve had on and off experiences. I do dry cuts, and last time I went I was very unimpressed with A) having to pay $ 90 for a dry cut (my hair is 2 inches below my shoulders) and B) having them NOT re-​straighten my hair before cutting it (despite OBVIOUS kinks??).
They do brows okay but nothing spectacular either.

Definitely recommend this salon! The service and friendliness is. When I frequent this salon I see Domenic as he’s up to snuff with the current trends and truly listens to what you’re looking for!

De Berardinis in Fairview Mall is my absolute favourite salon in Toronto ! I am always greeted with a big smile, and love chatting with all the girls in the front. This salon has two separate stylists, one to do your colour and one to do your hair cut and blow dry. I’ve seen a few different stylists, and have always had an amazing experience. I usually bring in pictures of the styles that I want and they always match it 100%. I will definitely be back & keep recommending you guys to everyone I know !!

I was sceptical to get an ombré done but after my first hair color appointment with Alex at Debarardinis, I am in love! He is my official color guy. I trust him completely when it comes to picking the right color for my hair and what style I should go for (streaks, highlights or ombré).
For hair cuts and styles, I have tried Claudio and Daniel — both gentleman are amazing and know how to choose the right cut for you! I usually bring a picture of what I want but I love how these gentleman personalize it and make it my own.

I came here to have a pedicure, as with age and many injuries in my youth the body is not as flexible as it once used to be. And I’m very glad I did! Aside of the pleasant entrance and a hypnotizing/​cascading waterfall effect on a sheet of glass as you go in, the spa/​salon itself has a very aesthetic and clean overall appearance for the customer as they enter. There are two sides to the place, one is the salon side in which I will never be going to due to lack of hair I now have thanks to mother nature and the other is the spa side in which is completely enclosed for personal privacy and to ensure as relaxing ambiance that they have set up within the area with music, lighting and very understanding/​caring staff. As for the pedicure itself, it was very relaxing, very detailed and worth coming in again if you’re finding it a little bit more difficult to tend to the dogs cares now a days. I had «Nicole» and she was very professional and yet completely understanding if you are one of those who are squeamish with others handling your feet. Prices are reasonable, especially if you take into consideration the services that the are preforming, and alleviating you from having to do yourself! When in need, I’m pretty (no pun intended) sure I’ll come back and so should you!

Been coming here for over 15 years now. Domenic gives me a fresh cut and I’ve never been disappointed. Had some waxing done a few times and they are pretty good at that too.

DeBerardinis is an excellent place to come for a nice relaxing shampoo, I guarantee you’ll turn into putty while having you scalp massage done. All the stylists are excellent at what they do. They do their very best to give the style that your looking for or suggest what would look better on you based on your hair type and complextion. The girls in the spa are also excellent at what they do, wether it’s a relaxing massage, waxing, threading, facials or mani’s and pedi’s. Enjoy a nice beverage — coffee, tea, cappiuchino or water while getting your services done.

I recently went to De Berardini’s for the first time, on the recommendation of my girlfriend, to try a wax for those annoying facial hairs in areas that are hard to take care of yourself with plucking. I was told in the past that waxing for such a big deal and it hurt and all sorts of drama of that nature but, I found that having a wax done, even on my face, was such a nothing thing. I don’t know why guys especially crank like kids after a wax. The Esthetician’s at De Berardini’s were total pro’s and they made the experience nothing more then a brief very mild discomfort. I suggest if any guys are considering getting that hair between your eye brows taken care of, you should try this establishment, very professional.

Good friendly service, sometimes they feel a bit uppity but I usually squash that quickly with my great charm. Full service station. They have a laundry list of things they can do for you.

Wow, these reviews are pretty harsh.
I’ve been coming here for a little over a year, and I’ve never once had a bad experience. I always come to see Lin. If you want an edgy cut, she’s the girl for the job. Sometimes I’ll bring in a picture, other times I won’t. Sometimes I’ll just get a trim, other times I’ll shake it up and do something different. No matter what, Lin always does an amazing job. I can’t say anything bad about her work.
I agree that some of their receptionists can be somewhat rude, but I just take it with a grain of salt. It’s not like you’re hanging around at the reception desk for a long time anyway.

I came back to this place for a second chance and I was very disappointed.
This place seems to have all the bell and whistles but they fall short on experience.
I used to come here when I was younger… I went to the head hair stylist, Domenic.
No complaints about him I think he’s fantastic but I wish I could say the same of his staff.
When you walk in there you are greeted with smug faces who look at you like you don’t belong there… no smiles or welcoming invitation to their salon. The front desk is suppose to represent the entire establishment.
I decided to come back because I needed a new stylist to do my color.
I usually flip flop between blonde and brunette.
When I went in October I wanted brunette with a tint of red. It was fabulous! I was convinced that I had found my new place.
A month ago I decided to go back to blonde and what a disaster!
I was told I had to come back 2 – 4 times because of the red.
I have never had this issue before with other hairdressers so I didn’t understand why this would take such a longer process — II found out why and so will you in a minute.
She told me she was going to get me as blonde as possible. If you needed more time you should’ve told me to book a longer time to complete the whole process.
She did a full head of foil highlights which took from 6−9pm.
In the end my hair looked SO damaged it was insane. I had to blowdry my hair myself because I wasn’t going to pay another fee to get a ‘professional’ to dry my hair when Im basically driving home to go to bed.
In the end — she advised me to come back a month later to redo the highlights and then she would get me to the blonde I wanted.
What was the damage? $ 167 !!!
So you want me to come back to pay another $ 167?! Are you F-​ing kidding me? I don’t think so. If you did it nicely I could understand but what a sloppy job.
Now my hair is SO dry — when I wash it, it just looks ratty, the blonde is so harsh and I still have 3 colors in my hair now… tints of red, blonde, and brown… really??? I paid for this?
I could go back and complain but it’s not worth the trouble… these people are all show but no substance. Sorry but bye bye

Went here to get my birthday highlights done 2 summers ago and got this Asian girl doing my highlights. I gave her a picture of what I wanted and she told me she couldn‘t do it. I asked for CHUNKY highlights and the damn girl gives me thin a** ones and I never realized til she got to the top cause she worked from the bottom so obviously I couldn‘t see.
What‘s worse was by the time I was walking to the chair to get my hair blow-​dried, a guy walks up to me with scissors and almost snips my hair off thinking I was going to get my hair cut on top of my dye job. Thankfully my ex was there at the time with me and saw it happen and urged the guy I wasn‘t getting my hair cut — that I was just going to get my hair dried…
And oh the f*** no it didn‘t stop there — for the highlights it cost me nearly $ 300+ which is effing ridiculous for the poor service I got that day and this was supposed to be my birthday weekend. Luckily I found another salon not too far from there and my new hairdresser fixed the highlights that idiot couldn‘t manage to do.
I was more pleased at the end at the other salon because the original hair dresser I got at De Berardinis told me what I wanted couldn‘t be done yet at the other place I went to did what the other girl couldn‘t do with more than a fraction of the cost off. So thank God I am never going here again it‘s terrible. Told all my friends about my bad experience and now all my friends go where I go. Thank GOD.

I’ve been getting manicures and pedicures here for a couple years, I always see Mary who is wonderful. She is very detailed and a perfectionist about her work which is great! I’ve also seen Ping for facials and she’s not bad, very blunt but that’s fine.
I’ve had my hair done here once for an event and it was ok — I wouldn’t leave my regular hairdresser to come here.
The reception staff has never been great, they seem to hire girls who are really good at doing nothing.

I cut my hair here from 2004 – 2007. I had no problems with them at all. I have tried stylists ranging from Level 1 — 4. AJ was probably the best (also the most expensive). But my hair looked amazing when he cut it the first time. I also liked Lindsay. She was very friendly but sadly she left to work for a cruiseline :(
They are quite nice there. But it can get a bit pricey. $ 35 — $ 65. Much more frugal if you’re a man. $ 25 — 35.
In addition to salon services, they also do some spa treatments.
