Downsview Veterinary Hospital has been a part of the Downsview community for over 40 years; our health care team offers integrative veterinary care for people and their beloved pets from our community and the surrounding GTA. We are pet owners serving pet owners. We understand the special role your furry companion plays in your family, so you have our promise that we will work hard to provide you with individualized care.

Dr. Ron Moore has been working in the Veterinary field since 1988, where he worked at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic East during high school. He graduated from the University of Guelph with a bachelor of science in 1995, and the Ontario Veterinary College in 1999. Since then he has worked in several locum positions, before finally purchasing the Downsview Veterinary Hospital in 2007.
Dr. Ron prides himself on providing excellent care for your pets; he has a specific interest in canine and feline dental disease and has taken continuing education courses to further his talents in this area.
When Dr. Ron isn’t working he spends time with his family which includes his two cats Uni, who is a red Burmese, and Nickel who is a Burmilla. He also enjoys vacationing & heading up to the cottage when he gets the time. Dr. Ron’s favorite pastime is dog-sledding; he attends the Yukon Quest yearly to assist the sled dogs in staying healthy while making their journey from Willow to Nome Alaska.
