Worst mover experience I’ve ever had
On the Thursday they showed up with two guys even though we confirmed 3 guys.
On Friday they came to the door rude and like cry babies showed up and started complaining about the stairs and started swearing as soon as I opened the door.
«I’m not doing this f this you have to pay more money I wasn’t told this and that …»
I’m totally disgusted with the unprofessional manner they handled this I myself offer to pay them more then they quoted so that it would be done smoothly but alertly that’s not good enough for these losers.
Terrible experience. Save yourself and hire braymore piano movers much more professional!!!

When we decided to move our piano over to a friend’s place I was utterly shocked to see that there were almost no reviews of moving companies in Toronto on the net and even fewer for piano movers. I saw Morley B’s review and while it wasn’t 100% favourable I thought I’d give these guys a shot. I mean, he had decided to use them twice.
I called up Randy at the Expert Piano Moving office on Wednesday night and scheduled a move for the following Saturday. He quoted me a really good price and told me that he’d be able to advise what the Saturday schedule was like by Friday. Got the call Friday and he said they’d be here by 9 and the whole move would be completed by 11 AM.
On the day of I got up and waited for the crew. I waited and waited, then called Randy at about 9:30. «They’ll be there in 20 minutes,» he said, but by 10 they still hadn’t arrived. I was beginning to get a might bit grumpy. When they did arrive at 10:10ish that all changed. The crew came in and one guy grabbed the bench while the other two took the piano. One of the guys literally picked up the piano like he was dead-​lifting and put in on a dolly with the other guy’s help. They went down the 2 flights of stairs and had it in the truck so quickly that I didn’t even have time to go down to say thanks before they left. They were at our apartment for no more than 7 minutes tops!
I’m not 100% sure how the move went on the other end at my buddy’s place but I got a text at 10:59 saying it was all done. I do know though that If there had been a problem he would’ve told me.
The entire move was planned and executed in three days. The movers were a little late, but they totally met their deadline. And while the actual crew was your typical bunch of gruff mover types we were totally thrilled /​amazed by their speed and efficiency. We would totally use them again.

I’ve used Expert Piano service twice now.
In each case I was actually moving apartments, so not using them for just the piano service. To preface this review, I have to say, I have yet to have a 100% professional moving service experience. There’s probably a stereotype around movers, not unlike the stereotypical image/​impression someone may have about mechanics. I remember when I bought a bed from Sleep Country and they showed up with things that go over their boots so as to not make your floor dirty. They showed up on time. They were polite and courteous.
Those details, and standing apart from the stereotypical gruff rough type of service that usually exists in that field are what help make Sleep Country a leader. I’d like to experience that level of professionalism just once from a moving company.
But I digress.
I would recommend Exp Piano Movers to move a piano. It’s a father son team, and the father is really the master of the operation and knows about moving pianos. I’ve heard he can be prone to some blue collar hissy fits, but from the other movers I’ve used, he’s been the best.
As far as the rest of the move went, well, there were some forgotten items, some damage items, and more whining which I never understand since moving is a physical service and you’re being paid to do it. It’d be like it a tobacco worker that never stopped complaining about the sun.
They missed the first day of the move and then blamed it on me. And on the day of the move showed up 6 hours late and not once called with an update. Again, those small details that mean so much to customers and a sense of professional courteousness, but that some how eludes blue collar types who feel they’re doing you a favor.
If you have a piano to move, you’ll be in good hands with these guys. You might not want to combine a house move & the piano move though.
