Jiffy Lube

Only had my oil changes done here for the past 2 years. Today they tell me that 4 of my skid plate bolts (which have to be removed for an oil change) have all fallen out since my last service —
3 months ago…4 bolts all falling out at the same time seems like they weren’t put on properly last time. Hmm. Then they go on to say I need to buy a new oil plug as the current one is crushed and needs to be replaced… again, if it’s crushed it was their doing since they are the only place to have serviced the car for the past 2 years.
At this point I ask to speak to the manager, and he replies with «I am the manager» (name on his shirt was friidon). I told him it seemed like a bunch of up sell to which he replied, «it’s the nature of the business, even if you go to Mack’s Milk they try to sell you lottery tickets».
I then asked for a number for their corporate office and he told me to «go google it».
Be cautious going here… they obviously up sell — even if it’s not required; as Friidon says «it’s the nature of the business». More importantly, if some bolts mysteriously fall out, and others are tightened so hard that they are crushed, you may want to think twice about going here for any service.
