Lousy. Went for the Monday burger special advertised on the corner in front of the place and it wasn’t even open. It’s not even a restaurant anymore, it’s a paid parking lot now. Don’t waste your time.

Wow! Great burger. I got a beef hamburger on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, jalapeños and their house sauce… It was delicious! Very filling and just so tasty! The fries were good, although I personally prefer crispier fries, these still had good flavor to them. The owner was friendly as well. Highly recommend trying this place. I went on a Tuesday and it cost me $ 12.50 for the burger, fries and a drink.

Popped in for a quick lunch with a Friend this past Friday and we both really enjoyed. Arriving slightly after noon the place was starting to get busy and within a few minutes was completely full. Food was great, service was fast friendly and energetic, and the atmosphere is urban trendy but down casual and down to earth. Definitely will be returning

Tight on space and a little pricey but not a bad experience. I ordered the Carnivore Combo: it was as enjoyable to look at as it was to eat. It came with rather large slices of smoked meat poking out of each side that flapped like wings with every bite. It was quite satisfying and simultaneously guilt-inducing. Immediately afterwards, I felt like I should do some kind of penance. .. like run a marathon while being poked with electric cattle prods fiendishly wielded by devout PETA members. But later, I got over it and just felt greasy. To sum up: good food, restaurant too small, prices a bit high, more fries please. I might be back, but only for the Special.

My colleagues and I went here for a team lunch today, and we were all really happy with our meals. The restaurant itself looks like a dump from the outside, which is what you sometimes get for a no-nonsense retaurant, but inside it’s very clean and shiny, like a diner. I got exactly what I was promised: a big, smoky, saucy, bacon-cheesy burger. The variety of cheeses was appreciated(smoked gouda FTW!) and their«special sauce» is an awesome touch. The brioche bun is delicious, and it tasted like it was grilled first. $ 16 for my build-a-burger combo. Ouchies. I got the side salad, which was okay but I’m not crazy about poppyseed dressing. Had some bites of my boss’ fries and they were SOGOOD. Like, chip truck good. Chunky and piping hot. If the beef they use wasn’t lean, they’d be getting 5 stars from me — a proper burger should have no inhibitions! This place is worth checking out, though!

Although all the pieces of a great burger are theoretically there, The Bacon Factory just seems to miss it’s mark. The looks to be an almost artisanal bread, but it just a normal bun, if perhaps a little soft. The bacon is of good quality, but the sauces and toppings that come along with it are mediocre at best — they didn’t add any depth to the dish. You can tell they are trying, and I commend them that, but the meat seems cheap and the meal was overpriced. Their coleslaw even is lacking in uniqueness. Disappointed in this joint, but the décor and atmosphere is nice.

The Bacon Factory misses the mark on a few key things like price, service and quality. While the burger is filling(at $ 11 on its own you should certainly expect it to be), the $ 15 combo is absurd. Leave that for extras like sweet potato fries or onion rings, all $ 11 burgers should include fries, that’s just common sense. The menu layout and design is confusing and needs to be streamlined for ease of ordering. The service is fast and friendly but the restaurant doesn’t really know what it is. It’s a weird mix of at-table service and fast food style ordering at the counter. Whatever they’re going for is awkward and needs to be fixed. For now, if you want a burger in centretown during normal hours(looking at you, Manhattan Burger) you have to choose between here and BFF. To be honest, I can’t decide which is the lesser of two evils.

The review date: Dec 20th, 2014 I had a salmon burger. It was an excellent burger with a good serving of fresh salad. The service was also excellent. The only thing that I didn’t like was the price.

We came on Sat afternoon and ordered the bacon factory burger and Italian burger. I am not a big fan of meat but I LOVETHEBACONBURGER The staff noticed that it was a long wait for the orders and gave us the poutine(actually we didn’t even notice. The staff are so friendly). The cleanliness is excellent. For sure will go back.

Came in for lunch on a Saturday once. There was only one other couple there. However, the workers were using one of the front tables to cut up /sort items for the grill. The burgers were delicious, but overly priced. Will probably not go back.

My boyfriend and I came here on a date night and we’re so disappointed we didn’t come sooner. He ordered the beef/lamb burger which made him happy there were mixed meat burgers but what made him happier was that there were cheese curds for on his burger! I made my own burger with the chicken breast which was a good portion of chicken and the sautéed onions were sautéed…not burnt. We both ordered the standard 3 strips of bacon on our burgers and loved the way the Bacon was cooked. It wasn’t overly crispy, it was just right for on a burger. Beyond that, the staff was super cordial. We came om a quiet night and a cook even came out and did a quality check. I was impressed with this. Also to note: they serve alcohol here and St. Ambrose apricot is one of the beers available. This is hands down my favorite beer which made me happier than a seagull with a french fry(which are also good here)

Date of Visit: Sept 15, 2014 Decent, but not delicious. I had the jerk chicken sandwich and my husband had the quarter-pounder with nothing special. He said the beef was lean(he hates that) and it was good, the serving was big enough and the bun was buttery brioche but it didn’t have the incredible grill taste mouth orgasm that you get at Hintonburger, BFF or James St. Pub, or JG Mellon’s if you want an international reference. My Jerk Chicken sandwich was about the same. It was actually kind of weird tasting. It had mango slices and avocado which made the bun really soggy and gooey and I couldn’t figure out the taste of the chicken. I wasn’t sure there was any jerk at all. The special sauce was terrible and there was too much of it. It also dribbled all over everything. It’s not clear if refills are free; all the glasses are the same size(small). The Fries were awesome: thick, steaming, skin on, longish, and there were a lot of them, so if that’s your thing, you’ve gotta check out the fries. I will give this place another chance. We’ve waited long enough for them to open — would hate to see them wither away after a short while. Maybe they’ll tweak a few things alon the way. I noticed that the manager had to herd lunchers into line because they were lining up at the wrong end. Avoid the lunch rush: we went at 11:30 and had the place to ourselves, with time to get eat and leave before it got too crowed.

Pretty good! I was surprised considering I read a lot of reviews that were less than stellar. Some people have said that the burger is bland, but I didn’t find that it was at all. It’s a little chaotic at lunch time, so my co-worker and I were very happy a woman on staff came over to us when we walked in and told us what to do and where to go(thanks for that!)

Despite some of the reviews I wanted to taste for myself… and I’m glad I did. The décor was very nice and the service was pretty quick. The burger was excellent. A tasty fresh patty with lots of toppings. It may have been a tad messy, but oh well… it’s a burger. My only knock was my side, the onion rings, were kinda plain. They were large and crispy, but without flavor. They should find a new onion ring source. I will go back. I want to try the lamb burger.

I went to the Bacon Factory on their opening day. The restaurant was clean and tidy and the staff was mostly friendly. The panels displaying the menu are wayyyyyyyy too high and impossible to read when you are ordering. Some of the font size is also ridiculous small, so you better have 20⁄20 vision or better to know what they actually sell. I ordered the Emporium burger with a beef patty and regular bum. So, biggest issue of all, the bun was soaking yet by the time I got home to eat it.(I live on the same block so it took me like 5 minutes from picking up my order to taking my first bite). Not only was the bun super soggy with grease and sauce, it had actually partially turned into mush. The beef was good and plentiful. However, for a burger with bacon from THEBACONFACTORY, a couple strips was not close to enough. Overall, the taste was fine but it was very greasy and the bun situation was atrocious. Also 12 $ plus tax for a burger is not exactly cheap so it better be perfect. It clearly was not. Their current prices are apparently also their«opening special» prices. WHAT?! Nope. No thanks. There are plenty of cheaper and tastier options around.

What a shame for this to be their inaugural review here on Unilocal.I live on the same block as the Bacon Factory, and was excited for it to open. When I walked in, I was pleased to see they offered a gluten-free bun and didn’t charge extra. I went up to the counter to order and noticed the first flaw — from the cash you cannot see the screens properly with the burgers on it. No matter, though, I’d decided. I got the greek burgers on a gluten-free bun with NOONIONS. I was very clear. They put it on my ticket, and I went to go wait. A few minutes later, I see a girl about to wrap a burger turn to her coworker, holding my ticket — «Does this have onions on it?». Her co-workers shrugged and she SHRUGGEDBACKANDWRAPPEDTHEBURGER. There were indeed onions on it, and after approaching them a new one was made, but that kind of laissez-faire attitude to customer service(especially where allergies are concerned) is appalling, especially considering their competition(BFF) is just down the street and offers better burgers at better prices and great service. That being said — The gluten-free bun was crumbly and atrociously thick, the beef and lamb patty was good, but I’d have appreciated being able to taste it more had it not been drowning in feta(there was at least half as much feta on that burger as there was meat. It was greasy, poorly put together, and served with nothing even resembling a smile. Poor form for a new business trying to steal customers from the clearly superior BFF.
