As a member of Savour Ottawa, we work regularly with Ottawa farmers and use local, organic ingredients wherever possible. We also specialize in meeting vegetarian and gluten-free dietary needs.

Historique

Fondé en 1991.

We opened our doors in 1991 with a business plan, two refrigerators, one oven, three dedicated individuals and a dream to bring great food to homes, businesses and special events throughout Canada’s Capital Region.

Our attention to detail, fresh seasonal ingredients, innovative menus and a dedicated, caring team of individuals have created a winning combination.

Our food shop menu changes weekly and our catering menus seasonally, providing our clients with food experiences that continually delight the senses.

Our warm and inviting location is a great place to stop by for coffee with an old friend, indulge yourself in one of our award-winning desserts or grab a delicious home cooked meal to go or to eat in. A variety of appetizers for last minute entertaining and unique giftware and linens are also available.

From intimate dinner parties and social gatherings to fundraisers and corporate lunches, Thyme & Again Catering has evolved into Ottawa’s premier catering company.

I like the set up of Thyme & Again. Perfect café if you want to enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and munch on something sweet and light with your friends.
The baked good prepared in house is so good. I really enjoyed my muffin as a quick breakfast.
Unfortunately if you want a grilled sandwich or anything that need more preparation, it might not be a good idea if you are in a rush. Our Local Artisan Grilled Cheese ($ 9)
Three Cheese (Black River Cheddar, Jack & Havarti) with Bacon took more than 20 minute to be ready and the café was not even too busy. The sandwich though was good, but on the pricey side.
If you want some peace and quiet, there is a separate seating area upstairs.

I haven’t changed my star rating here, but I did spend a significant amount of time here today, and thought it warranted an update from 2012!
My sister, Laura B and I were strolling through Westoboro today when she remarked that she’d never been to Thyme and Again, and I was shocked, and immediately dragged her in. The place was crowded, both on the outside patio (people love double digits in Ottawa!) and in the inside café area. We got in line at the sandwich counter and were met with a ton of delicious decisions. I opted for the grilled cheese with guacamole and tomato on the gluten-free bread. My sister went for the chicken quesadillas. The chef let us know our order would take a little while and we were welcome to pay.
On my way to the cash I checked out their beautiful counter full of treats. I got my sister a buttertart square and I had a vegan chocolate cherry brownie. I also grabbed a Harvey and Vern’s cream soda, and while at the drink cooler notice they make their own salad dressings, dips and spreads — yum!
While we were waiting we also browsed the store which has a ton of local products like soaps, candies, chocolates, candles and gifts. It’s a locovore’s dream!
Our food was ready after about 10 minutes, and we were lucky enough to grab a table by the window. Both of us really enjoyed our food. Even the gluten-free bread was delicious! My sandwich was served with a scrumptious coleslaw that was flavoured with dill — YUM! It also came with a deli pickle which I gave to my sister. She really enjoyed her quesadillas as well, and our desserts were wonderful.
The shop also has an upstairs sitting area that’s beautiful and showcases local art. It’s a much quieter atmosphere and a great spot to have conversations with friends.
Westboro is so lucky to have this place, and in addition to all of this they also have a huge catering menu! If you haven’t been here, you need to come.
