Great little place for breakfast. Plus they were good enough to accommodate our large party. So good, we went back the next day too!

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Port Colborne, Canada
Sambo’s has been around many years, is one of Port Colborne’s fixtures and won’t be going anywhere unless they really mess up. The dining room is small but cozy with a Welland Canal /marine theme. There are lots of marine related knick-knacks hanging from the walls and lots of photos of the area, many of them historical. This place is ALWAYS busy. That should say just about everything. In my experience, if I go for breakfast any time after 8am on a weekend, I’ll be waiting for a table. Last week I arrived at 8:15 to a sold out dining room however I spotted two friends who invited me to sit with them. And that’s another key to this establishment’s success — everyone knows everyone! You will almost always find someone dining that you know. They have great fish and their souvlaki is incredibly delicious — great quality and HUGE portions. They even have a souvlaki breakfast that is excellent! Their omelettes and home fries are very good although just slightly on the greasy side. My only pet peeve is that they don’t have real brewed decaf coffee — only instant. That is NOT coffee, YUK! Overall, Sambo’s is a comfortable dining establishment that offers great Canadian comfort dishes. Even though its prices have been increasing, it’s still a good value. It’s worth the wait, even when it’s busy!
