Historique

Fondé en 1976.

Originally established in 1976 by a very nice German husband and wife team, I recently purchased the business from them in August of 2011 and have been continuing to serve their longstanding loyal customer base as well as bringing new customers in. Have been working hard to update the office and waiting area to more modern standards as well as updating the shop.

My first job in an automotive shop was right in this very shop back in 1993 through my high school (Terry Fox) automotive work experience program.

My career took me to various service and repair shops, finally ending up at Brian Jessel BMW. I have my full certification as well as a passion for solving tough automotive problems.

Craig is super friendly and very honest guy. He’s taken care of minor issues on both my car and my boyfriend’s car, and always in a timely manner. Craig is the perfect example of why we should be supporting local small businesses. Plus, having had to take my car in for repairs at others shops myself, it’s such a relief to have found Poco Automotive and know that I won’t be taken advantage of just because I’m female.
My only heads up is that it did take a few minutes to locate the shop because it’s tucked in with several other businesses, and parking can be tricky. But I highly recommend Poco Automotive!

Craig is a honest, knowledgeable mechanic and… just an all round nice fellow. The kind of guy that takes the time to explain things about your car and any work needed without pressuring you. He’s been looking after my little BMW 320 and done a great job. Maybe its just me being a bit of an ‘old school’ kind of guy, but I love a small independent shop where they really care. Craig is that kind of guy… he really cares about your car and gives you great service. Well done Craig!
ps…the shop is easy to find… and there is a bakery factory outlet in the same complex so you can buy fresh bread and get your BMW serviced at the same time! wow… life can’t get any better…

I highly recommend this place, I took my car there the other day & Craig not only detect & resolved the issue quickly but he was also very kind to fix some other obvious issues there went unnoticed under the hood of my car. I am very happy to find a reliable, & informed mechanic and I will take my car to him from now on. I was very frustrated going to the shop at first (not being able to locate the shop) but came out very happy & relieved after .

Getting my car fixed gives me the same feeling as having to go to the dentist. yuck. I know nothing about cars and I don’t pretend I do and besides I don’t have a yearning to know anything about them. As far as I am concerned you pay a lot of money to buy a car and all I should have to do is put gas in it. I have no worries when I take my car to PoCo Auto. Craig is honest, friendly and above all a professional. He cares about the work he does and his reputation. When he gives you his word, he abides by it. Truly a rare quality in business today. My car is nothing wonderful, a 1994 Volvo Wagon but it is paid for and I can’t afford to buy a new car. My ‘Bessie’ is in great shape and Craig keeps her that way. If something needs repairing, he shows it to me and explains it. Other mechanics seem to talk down to me like I am some silly woman with an endless pocketbook. I’m neither silly nor rich. If your vehicle needs repairs, take it to Craig. You cannot go wrong.
