I love this place, it’s so easy to book online 24 – 7 and the therapists are great. Last time I went, I was suffering with a terrible headache and as soon as I walked in the door, I already felt relaxed by the atmosphere and the friendly greeting. By the time my treatment was over, so was my headache!

I have been seeing Danielle (Robert) for over 6 months related to a disc injury. My level of functioning has improved greatly. I was having trouble maintaining my sitting tolerance and now I have few issues. Danielle is professional and problem solves with me to address any issues I have. I am very lucky to have found her.

I’ve been to better places.

I like this place because I can get a hot stone massage from an RMT which means that I can get reimbursed for it through my work benefits. BUT I need to book appointments about three weeks in advance because the RMT who does this books up quickly.
I love the space. It’s this tiny little, ancient house that’s cozy and inviting and relaxing and I’d hang out all day there if I could and just enjoy it. I don’t normally call things lovely but this place is just that.
Treatment wise, they are usually a little behind and they do take their time saying goodbye to customers so you do want to make sure that you don’t get shorted for your massage time. I had a feeling that I had been and, after reading other reviews just now, I guess I’m not the only one. This alone would make me go elsewhere if I could find another RMT who offered hot stone massages.
I do have one major complaint. About halfway into my massage the last time I was there, someone came into the lobby and completely ignored the sign that asks that people be mindful of their noise. This girl stomped around loudly and had a very loud conversation with the (quiet) person at the desk about her gymnastics coaching. The walls there are paper thin and so this was really obnoxious and distracting. After a few minutes I said something to the RMT and her response was a very zen «oh some people are louder than others». It ruined the experience because this girl did not stop talking and she was there for a good twenty minutes. I felt like I was the picky old intolerant lady because I had said something. The reality of it was that I was spending a lot of money to relax and some kid had been allowed to come in and completely ruin the experience because she was just that loud. (Think of a gum snapping person who says «Yeah so like I totally went out and partied last weekend and like completely slept past my alarm the next day but that’s totes fine because whatever.» That is going to set anyone on edge.)
This isn’t normal. I had been at Ecotique in Metropolis once and a bridal party had been there for manicures. They were really loud and my massage was comped because of the disruption without my having to say a word.
Now I was not expecting this place to give me a discount. What I was expecting was for the person behind the desk to politely ask the young lady in the lobby to be a little quieter. Or perhaps for the RMT to kindly and politely poke her head into the lobby and politely remind this person that there are people in the rooms perhaps. But the fact that nothing was done and that I was made to feel a little bad for having said anything was disappointing. I think I’ll pay out of pocket to go to Ecotique most of the time.

It’s amazing how refreshed and energized I feel after an hour length massage.
My last visit was three weeks ago when I was in so much pain from both an old injury and typical tightening because of my sitting computer programmer job. Farrah worked out the tissues and isolated the issues so while I wasn’t pain free immediately, I was comfortable knowing that the pain was muscular and not a slipped disc.
Today’s visit was just for maintenance, as I didn’t hurt more than typical tightness. Farrah was able to find and fix problem areas, so that they won’t become problem areas.
I only wish I could be wheeled into a nice dark room to catch a nap after treatment.

The place is cozy and friendly, but the rather inexperienced therapist made me wait which is fine, however if the treatment starts late, I expect to receive the full time nonetheless! My 90 min treatment (initial) was about 70 mins. I expect some time to be a consult, which it was (10 mins). The other time was lost to waiting for the therapist from previous client and waiting for therapist to come into room to start treatment (I don’t need five mins to take a top off!). In the end the massage was ok. The therapist did not seem to know how to treat my deep muscular tension. Perhaps I was too much work for her, as she wanted me to see another therapist, because she said she did not have experience with my condition??? Deep muscle tension… how many people on the planet have this!
Would not recommend.

Went for a massage with Cynthia. She was okay. She started late but ended on time therefore not giving me the full 60 minutes. I felt like she couldn’t wait for it to be over with and I know that I was her last massage of the day so maybe that is why. I will continue my hunt for a good Registered Massage therapist. The place itself was cute and quaint with a funky vibe.

This place has great therapists but their customer service is not very customer friendly at all. They have an online booking system, which is great. However, beware, they do have very sudden price increases without any notice whatsoever. I booked an appointment online at one price and when I reported two weeks later for my appointment, was charged a higher price. I only found out the price I would pay AFTER the treatment as no mention was made of any price increase when I checked in and their new prices were not posted anywhere either. When I inquired, rather than apologizing for neglecting to inform their clients of the sudden price increase and correcting the situation, I was rudely told that their website states «prices are subject to change without notice». I guess the Clinic Manager feels this clause gives them a license to mislead clients by listing one price when they book and being charged another price after treatment. Obviously, not very good at all for customer relations.

I love going to this place for my massages. It’s very chill and the environment is very peaceful.
I go to Stephen and he does a fantastic job realigning my hip and spine. Most of the time, after he is done doing that, he doesn’t even have to touch my shoulders (which is wear I carry most of my tension).
Recently they’ve introduced lap top computers for charts instead of paper charts, which is pretty awesome. Before I start an appointment Stephen always goes over my chart and takes careful notes of anything new. Very professional.
I’ve been to other massage therapists here as well and they’ve always been very good. Definitely two thumbs up!

I was looking for an RMT having just moved to the tricities area and I thought I’d try out this place. Went for a 10AM appointment today. I got there quite early so I had ample time to survey the place. The massage studio exuded this charming, Saltspring-​yippie vibe (think urban gardener playing mellow spa music + vibrant visual experience with all the paintings) that contributed immensely to my relaxation. The massage rooms offered plenty of room for changing and these fantastic down duvets for keeping warm (no thin polyester blankets here!). My RMT Farrah was friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. I came out feeling pretty swell. Though my review is for an RMT «treatment» massage, I can tell she’d be pretty good at relaxation massage too.
My only beef with the place is the receptionist. The first time I called, she sounded bored and disinterested in even booking an appointment, much more answering questions about their services. She was pleasant enough during «checkout» today but again communicated that I’m-looking-for-the-next-best-job tone of voice. Being a completely new customer, I was a bit disoriented by the receipt, considering I will be submitting it to insurance. I asked if this was the official receipt for insurance and she just offhandedly remarked that it’s their official receipt and the Visa receipt is coming up, no explanation of how it qualifies as an official receipt until I saw Farrah’s RMT number in tiny text. Might seem like a big fuss over a receptionist but I frequent high end spas quite a bit and when you’re paying for a glorious but not really necessary service like this, you’d want everyone in your team representing your values consistently. It almost turned me off booking with them but I’m glad I tried them. For this reason, I’d go back for basic RMT massage but I’m unsure of whether I’d choose them for a more opulent spa experience.

If you desire pampering in a relaxed setting from an RMT, this is the place to be. This establishment «oozes» relaxation. From the moment you enter the beautifully designed lobby, you are welcomed by a pleasant scent.
I was blown away. Nice setting & even better service. You gotta see it to believe it.
