Rocky Point Ice Cream is a family run business and has been scooping in Port Moody since 1997.

At Rocky Point Ice Cream we make Hand Crafted Small Batch Premium Ice Cream using local or organic ingredients when possible.

Our new store is due to be completed by Mid-June 2013 and we will be offering 36 Flavours of Ice Cream and Sorbettos. In addition to Premium Ice Cream our new store will offer:

Rocky Point Ice Cream is the greater’s Vancouver area’s hidden gem for ice cream. Simply put: they make the best ice cream in the entire city. Better than Earnest (whose limited flavours are ones I’ve never much cared for), better than Rain or Shine, and definitely better than the zillion boring gelato places that suffocate our city like Starbucks franchises.
Rocky Point makes classic, old fashioned ice cream — the kind you used to have all the time when you were little. They have dozens of flavours and most (if not all) of them are very good.
My personal favourite is the bubble gum flavour. It takes me back to when I used to spend my summers in a small town. During those years, getting a scoop of ice cream was pretty much the highlight of my day. Thanks to Rocky Point Ice Cream, I’ve finally found a place that is worthy of reliving those days.
PS the staff here is super nice. Most of them are young kids, but they’re all super friendly and good at their jobs. They’re good at keeping the line moving, even when it’s really busy.

We went for an ice cream on our way back from Bunsen Lake. Delicious flavours (try the bacon & maple one) and they also offer doggie cones (happens we had our pup with us). Decently priced and delectable. Don’t miss out!

Could this be the best ice cream truck around? I’ve had the pleasure of sampling the cones from Rocky Point Ice Cream’s truck at the New West farmers’ market and at the food truck festival, and as far as classic flavours go, they’ve got it down cold, so to speak. Salted caramel, chocolate, cookies n’ cream — I don’t eat ice cream all that much, but this is quality stuff, my friends. Enjoy it while the summer lasts!

Located in beautiful Rocky Point Park this is an ice cream parlor you must check out! Well worth the price for fresh ice cream. I got the mint flake and it did have a lot of flakes indeed! I ordered it with the chocolate dipped waffle cone. I couldn’t decide if I wanted one scoop or two since I love, love, love ice cream. Glad I got one scoop because it is a good size scoop!

The blackberry sage ice cream is subtle and easy to devour. The earl grey and honey is hands down the best ice cream I’ve tried in a long while. Strong black tea, creamy texture, sweetened just right. It’s worth a trip out to Port Moody. Thanks Rocky Point for the treat at the food cart fest!

Awesome ice cream! And a really great deal, very fair prices especially for the quality– first time I went I was actually really surprised at how cheap it is compared to other ’boutique’ home-made ice cream in the Lower Mainland. Honey Lavender is incredible, super intense liquorice, blackberry sage, many other great flavours and the salted caramel is the best I’ve ever had. I come here after a swim at White Pine or a run to Admiralty Point or around the bay– (a great way to pay back all those exercise calories). Love it, great location near the pier– and Port Moody just rules in general!

Rocky Point Ice Cream is located in the beautiful Rocky Point Park. This park is the perfect place for hanging out with friends, family, and dogs!
I first heard about Rocky Point Ice Cream through Instagram. I saw a lot of people posting pictures of their doggie cone (ice cream specifically made for dogs), so I knew I had to bring my puppy here!
My boyfriend got a scoop of the Vanilla Malteser, and I got a scoop of the Salted Caramel (both in a waffle cone). The Vanilla Malteser was a little too sweet in my opinion, but very tasty. My Salted Caramel was delicious as well, but I still prefer the one from Earnest as it is creamier and a little more savoury.
My puppy got a scoop of the doggie cone (pictured). He absolutely loved it! I tasted a little of his doggie cone as well– it tasted like regular ice cream! Just avoid the kibble bits inside lol.

Rocky Point is the Aston Martin of ice cream. You can’t help but sample every delicious flavour before making the difficult decision of which to put on your cone. The ice cream is of the highest quality and puts name brand ice cream to shame.
I find myself craving it like the ice cream was a sort of drug. My girlfriend and I drive all the way from Vancouver to feed our frozen dairy addiction. As a couple who suffer from being lactose intolerant, the pain has never tasted so good.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaamn good ice cream!!!
Highly recommend salted caramel, chocolate peanut butter, and maple walnut!!!
Cant get over how great their ice cream is!!! Iv been back 4 or 5 times since my first visit. The staff is friendly and they have sorbet aswell :)
Cant wait to try their new fall flavours.

Fantastic ice cream & sorbet flavour options for a decent price in a beautiful setting, right in my back yard? Yeah, I’m definitely on board with this place!
I LOVE the earl grey (sometimes with honey, sometimes lavender, sometimes other additions) and also the sea salted caramel flavours and I really enjoy that you can get a bowl of doggie ice cream for your four-legged friend as well.

I joke, but it could be partially true: this place is the reason I moved to Port Moody, lol. Try the espresso flake, salted caramel, toasted coconut… no, just try everything. But get a waffle cone, as scoops fall out of the regular cones far too easily.

Oh, Rocky Point. Both the highlight and downfall of my recent trip to Port Moody. You see, the downfall was not their fault, but let me get to that. After a morning of hiking, a friend and I headed down to Rocky Point for a rest by the water. Toasted coconut was my choice of the day, a big scoop! Oh my gosh — SO DELICIOUS. But here was the downfall — they aren’t kidding with the «how to eat ice cream» sign on the wall — if you’re not careful, you can end up knocking the whole thing off the cone! Which is what happened to me :(And, it was so good, I momentarily thought of picking it up and pretending nothing happened, but the 5 second rule didn’t work on this hot day :) Despite all that, I will be MUCH more careful next time, and finally get to enjoy a proper scoop of toasted coconut :)

Best ice cream around! Love the trifecta of Rocky Point ice cream, Rocky Point park, and Pajo’s. Can you really beat all that within steps of each other? Don’t think so.
My husband and I always share a cone here whenever we hang out in the park in the evenings. It’s always busy when the weather is great and there is no wonder!
They give you huge scoops. One scoop is about the size of a tennis ball or bigger. We always share one waffle cone with one scoop and we don’t understand how people can finish it all by themselves. It’s a meal in itself.
All the ingredients they use for their ice cream is top notch. Today I had one with candied walnuts in it — so yum. I tasted the lemon yogurt ice cream to save for a time when I’m ready to devour the whole thing myself. Have tried tinroof and that one is amazing too — vanilla ice cream base mixed with chocolate syrup, caramel and some nuts.
Must try! You won’t regret it.

I’ve tried a dozen flavours here. While I more or less enjoyed all of them, none of them stick out in a way that makes them memorable or makes me crave them.
It is good quality ice cream and the prices are pretty fair.
Since I go to Rocky Point often in the summer, I usually go to Pajo’s, take a long walk then cool off here. This place is pretty hard to avoid.

Love it.
Tried the Mexican chocolate and earl grey honey.
Mexican chocolate:
Rich milk chocolate start, spicy kick finish, amazing.
Earl grey honey:
Not bad but the earl grey flavour was gone pretty quick.
Pros:
Locally made
Cute shop
Nice staff/great service
Interesting flavours
They use metal spoons for sampling, green friendly!
You save $ 0.05 when you choose cone instead of cup (for enviro reasons!)
They have nut/sprinkle/etc dipped waffle cones if you really want to splurge!
Cons:
The Mexican chocolate was a little on the melty side despite being in the same freezer as the other flavours.
Price: high average.
Kids cone: $ 2.55
Single: $ 3.55
Double: $ 4.55
Triple: sorry, didn’t look.

Summer times calls for Ice Cream. Period. On random days I like to head off to Rocky Point Park in Port Moody for a picnic and a light stroll. On other days, perhaps kayaking or paddle boarding. Rocky Point has a few gems of its own, Pajos Fish and Chips, Boathouse, and of course Rocky Point Ice Cream & Café. Opened since 1997, this place brings you delicious treats, candies and even ice cream for your canine — K9 Doggy Cone.
If you’re pup likes to munch on some ice, I’m sure they’d love these.
The have an assorment of flavors from Cookie Dough, Pralines ‘N Cream, to White Chocolate Raspberry. Sundaes and smoothies also.
From July through August we are open from 6am till After Dark (usually 10.30/11pm). If the day is cold and/or miserable they remain closed, Heck, I wouldn’t venture out.
