There is a very rude cashier or attendent works there. its true. usually at night, if i get his name i will post it up here.

I came here back in October on job site to fill company car with gas 27.99 L @ $ 1.42/L. I am just finding the receipt now as I am doing year end accounting, hence the mutiple random reviews for gas stations the closer it is to documenting expenses for year end. Gas only was purchased. I used the self serve pump.

I don’t write reviews for everyday mundane places but I thought my experience was worthy of a write up.
My car takes 93 octane or higher. So I usually go to the place that carries 93. But this time I had my niece in the back and didn’t want to waste any time getting her home. That’s strike one, Esso, for only carrying up to 91.
I usually pump my own gas even in «Full Serve» Richmond. But since I was only filling $ 20 (didn’t have anything smaller.) I decided to let the attendant do his job. He comes up and stands by my passenger window. «???» I have my door open ready to give him my 20 but he just stands there like the headless attendant. I can’t see above his shoulders. No looking into the window or anything. I call out «can you come around this side please?» Nothing. Even if I had manual roll down windows, it would’ve been faster if he came around to my side like he should. So I stick my hand out and wave for him to come over. It’s cold and wet. What’s the use for me to get out if I’m paying cash instead of plastic? He stomps over, I say «$ 20 for 91 please.» He snatches the 20 out of my hand and stalks off. Strike two. You don’t stand at the passenger side waiting and then snatch hard earned money out of someone’s hand.
Attendant goes to fill the tank and he rams the nozzle into the tank. That’s it. Strike three. Absolutely nobody disrespects my car and treats it like some beater. No one. I could have jumped out and yelled at the attendant. But why stoop to his level? Plus my niece was with me. I calmly walk over to another attendant and say to him «I’d like you to finish my transaction. I don’t want Attendant A to come near my car let alone touch it. He was very rough and disrespectful.»
$ 20 worth of gas finishes very fast these days. As Attendant A is about to approach, Attendant B thankfully steps in and let’s me go on my way, looking in and asking with an ok sign to see if all was good. Kudos to Attendant B.
Esso, you will never have my patronage again. Only time that would ever change is if you start carrying 93 octane and certain staff replaced.
