I was going to Europe and needed some maps, so I went in one weekday afternoon. No customers were in the store. But, there were 4 – 5 people sitting behind the counter. When I entered one of them looked up at me, but no one said Hello. I was looking at the maps for about 15 minutes, and NOTONE person came out to see if I needed assistance. Although they seemed to have a decent selection, and was interested in purchasing, I walked out after no service. It seemed to me that they were too busy socializing, and had no time for their customers. I will never go back, and I definitely would not recommend anyone go there.

This place is amazing. You will love it even if you don’t have a map addicted partner or friend. This is the best place to get maps of all types. Local or global they have it all. Guidebooks as well. If you are considering going somewhere and you think you need a map, you definitely should head here. Now.

Whether you are traveling the globe or you just need a globe this is you only source for maps(and globes)! They have a huge selection of maps from road to trail for countries all over the world! The selection is astonishing and many maps are even printed on water and tear resistant paper! These maps are lifesavers depending on your climate. To me though the real bread and butter of this store is there Canadian and more importantly their British Columbia maps. They have the best selection of hiking trail maps I have ever seen! As would be expected most cover BC and Alberta but they go coast to coast. If you require help the staff is more than happy to help you find maps or whatever you are looking for that they stock.

Came here once in search of a world map, and boy did they have it. The selection of maps, travel documents, city guides and globes is astounding. They have topographical maps that are near antique age – and they weren’t simply for BC nor just the greater Canada area. Walking through their doors had me itching to travel again. There’s so much of the world that I have yet to see – as these maps so kindly reinforced. The Lonely Planet guides are tucked away behind the cashier’s glass case, away from the pawing fingertips of the wanderlust. This is a good place to dream, imagine and plan your next adventure.
