New Stitch Tailoring

I’ve never had anything hemmed at a store before and I was at pacific mall earlier this morning and needed a talula dress to be hemmed, so I went to stitch international I think it was and asked about the price and how long it would take. They said it would’ve been $ 30 dollars just for the hemming which costed MORE than the dress itself, they wouldn’t be able to replicate the unique hemming on the dress and I could only pick it up the next day. So I left and looked for somewhere else.
I remembered walking through Landsdowne mall and always passing by a tailoring place so I thought I’d give it a try. I walked in and generally you would have to wait another until you could speak to the lady at the desk because she gives her full attention to the customer talking to her which was good.
I took my dress out and I thought it would’ve been fine just to hem 1 inch off but she insisted me trying the dress on so I did and she talked to me for abit and we decided to hem 2 inches instead. It was around 4:30 at the time and the store closed at 6 on Saturdays. The cost of the hemming was $ 15 which was still abit more than I wanted to pay but it was ½ as much as PC. I asked if she could possibly get it done by 6 and she said she’d try her best.
I came back and she made me try the dress on to make sure I liked it before I left and I did and I LOVED IT EVEN MORE THAN BEFORE the hemming was perfect and identical to the one on the dress before and it was done so neatly as well! I instantly thought it was well worth $ 15 especially cause she got it done in 1hr! The total came to $ 15.75 after tax but I just paid $ 16 and told her to keep the change which I never say the lady was so nice and the job was done very well! I would definitely get my hemming done here again!

I’ve brought one of my sleeveless blouse for alteration… unfortunately, the alteration is not up to my standards nor same as what I’ve asked for. Service isn’t that great either. Never coming back again.

I have gotten a few pairs of my jeans hemmed at this place for about two years now. They get the job done for a reasonable price.
Unfortunately, I think one of the jeans I had hemmed recently seems a bit too long. I may need to ask them specifically to go shorter next time.

I have all my alterations done here. Good prices, Good work and fast.

This is a reliable place for pant hemming and sleeve shortening. They do original jean hems as well. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on any other kinds of alterations as I haven’t needed them. If you ask, they can rush your alterations. Their prices are reasonable as well.
While I don’t normally shop at Lansdowne Centre, I’m willing go a little out of my way for alterations by New Stitch.
