The prices are higher than most thrift stores, but the items you find can be pretty cool.

Awesome Value Village. Lots of near new designer clothes. Sometimes the prices are ridiculous. The kitchen, books and housewares selection is great too. Very clean and organized except for the toy section sometimes. Poor selection of shoes for bigger sizes. Super helpful and friendly staff. I also donate her at least once every couple months. They have a good selection of men’s and kids clothing as well as mostly women’s clothing. I just love shopping here.

Typical Value Village, nothing special and way too over priced for what it is. Anyone who thinks this place has good deals has obviously never been to the mall when there is a sale, that pretty much represents the prices at V V. Value Village use to be the place for those less fortunate to buy clothes and things. I’m guessing those less fortunate can’t even afford to shop here anymore. I’ll be sticking to the smaller thrift stores in Richmond, summer garage sales and mall sales for the really good deals.

I remember back when donated used clothing was cheap. Back when the world made sense. Nowadays thrift shopping is a popular hobby therefore thrift shops like Value Village are raising their prices(thanks a lot Macklemore). I spent a good 2 hours in this place and ended up buying 2 things — a large batwing navy blue cardigan and a black and gray pinstripes pair of shorts. Both of which were fantastic quality so i didn’t feel that bad about the $ 26 I spent on them(in total, of course). When the cashier asked if I had any coupons I felt my heart sink. Had I known that there were coupons floating around in the universe for this place I would have printed them out before coming here. Only come here if you are in search of something specific. For instance, if you need purple pants for a class project or if you have an interview and need a relatively cheap blazer, then sure, visit this Value Village. If your goal is to score a bunch of amazing deals and go bargain hunting… eh. I’d look elsewhere.

Decent, smaller sized value village. Fair housewares selection, and prices seemed slightly better than some other locations. The staff were average in friendliness and helpfulness, but certainly not impolite. Free parking in their lot.

Value Village just isn’t the same as it used to be. The staff at this location are rude and unhelpful, and considering the goods are used the prices are quite high. Next time I want to go on the hunt for some thrifty treasures I’ll head to an independently owned store or the Sally-Ann.
