This place is a hop, skip and a jump away from the Fulford Harbour ferry and well worth popping your head in the door when you ultimately get to the ferry an unneeded 45 minutes before the sailing.
Now i’m a hat addict. I have a beret for every day of the week, a pillbox in thee different colours and I look darn fine in a bowler — so it’s no surprise that I make my way here with the mother unit on the regular. It’s a lovely little hat shop with a great selection for both men and women. They also carry some jewellery and I think some beads but to be honest, i’ve never really looked… i’m always distracted by some pretty fancinator. The prices are reasonable and most of the hats are hand made which is always nice to see.
The last time I was in, they had a few beautiful bags tucked in the corner as well. Definitely worth poking your head in post spicy chai (Morningside) and muffin (Mercantile). Honestly, after that tour, you’ll start getting to the ferry early on purpose!
