Historique

Fondé en 2009.

The Digs was started in 2009 when my son James was just over a year old. With my wife Michelle and I working full time and James being being baby sat all the time, I found that James was not getting enough parent time. Some thing had to change.

I took a night job at the pub on the Island so at all times James would have either Michelle or my self as his care giver. In the meantime I knew the Money Family orchard and green house was up for lease. I thought this would be a great way to earn a little extra money and work with my son. With a handful of money and a lot of dreams, Darryl’s and James’s Digs was born.

Easter long weekend was my grand opening. I had two tables of plants and that was it. I can remember thinking wow who’s going to want to shop here. I have barley anything to sell. But the weekend came and went and I had almost sold out of everything. My fears were relieved.
