So, I work next door to this place and have thought plenty of times I would like to try it. Normally I’m a Subway consumer but finally I made the decision to go in and Check this place out. My final push to give it a shot was a Facebook post I saw on my feed reaching out to Sherwood Park patrons to support this local business(search for the post if you want the details). It’s not a fancy place. Very«cafeteria» like. The hours are pretty short as well(another reason I never seems to time it right to go in). They are Monday to Friday 8:30am only until 2:30pm. I initially planned on trying out their tuna sandwich but the patron in front of me had ordered the roast beef and after seeing how much fresh roast beef they piled on his bread, I quickly changed my mind. I ordered a roast beef on white and a small baked potato soup. Everything was incredibly fresh. No processed deli meat crap here! Bread all baked fresh, soup homemade. It was delicious. Large portions and incredibly fresh veggies. They had lots of salad and dessert choices as well, I just didn’t partake in those. It was about $ 11 for sandwich, soup and a bottle of water. First thought was that it seemed a bit pricey until I reminded myself I easily pay that at subway and don’t get a soup with that! You can stay in or take out. Not sure if you can call in an order to pick up but not really necessary because the steady stream of lunch time patrons were served quickly and accurately. Would definitely consider making a permanent switch from subway with the hours of operation being the only thing that would stop me. Worth checking out. Go support local!

Why do I always forget to take pictures here? argh! Actually… there’s a simple explanation for that. I forget to take pictures of the establishment because I’m so excited and distracted by the smells and decisions that need to be made. I signed up for their emails YEARS ago and now every single week I get an email that tells me what their soups and salads are for the week, as well as what their hot special is each day. More often than not I go for the turkey sandwhich. You won’t find processed deli meats here… it’s real, fresh tasting turkey and they ALWAYS have cranberry sauce on hand for it. yum. It’s a build your own sandwich type place, similar to Fife n dekel in Edmonton, if you’re familiar. The veggie toppings are pretty standard, and they also have various mustards and spreads available for you. One of the hot specials this week pulled me in. it was the perogies. I’m a sucker for a great homemade perogies, and I just knew they wouldn’t be serving me cheemos! I can’t say I was disappointed, but I’ll admit that they were not as good as I hoped they would be. Just a tad bland. But the sausage that was served with it really made up for that. SOGOOD. Once in a while they have a meatball sub special that seems to be really popular. I’ll have to try it out. And maybe I’ll remember to take some damn pictures!

Nice quite, quaint place. The sandwiches are great with fresh bread, meat and veggies, and the soup was fantastic. I think most of all it was the service that stood out. Very attentive staff –especially the guy behind the counter. You couldn’t ask for a friendly fella… I was in from North Carolina and this guy made me feel like I was at a deli around the corner from my house. Will return every time I’m back in edmonton

I really like the turkey sandwiches at this place: they use real turkey in it instead of the deli meats that other places use. I’m not sure where they get it from, but all the breads they use are always really fresh tasting too.
