Little Monster’s Swap Meet

Okay… so when I got pregnant with my first child my mother and I went to every single baby sale, swap meet, and consignment store we could find in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert & Spruce Grove because we were on the hunt for deals!
Of all the swap meets and baby sales we went to (literally dozens and dozens) there were only 2 we recommend to others and 2 that we are repeating now that I’m pregnant with baby #2!
Little Monsters Swap Meet is by far the BEST used baby/​kids stuff sale ever!
it’s held on 5 – 6 Saturdays a year (mostly in the summer) at the Spruce Grove Tri Leisure Center… so it’s about 10 – 15 minutes West of Edmonton if taking the Yellowhead.
We’ve only been to one this year… the first one on April 9^th because I was put on bed rest at the end of April. I can’t wait to go to the last two in August and September!
If you are looking for the big ticket items like strollers, car seats, cribs, etc… it’s worth paying the early bird $ 5 admission fee. If you’re only looking for clothing and books you can wait until the last two hours.
Usually I pick up clothes for my daughter and books at $ 1-​$ 2 a piece and of course people also have higher end clothing like Gymboree for a little more.
But books and clothes and toys at a great price galore! It’s like 100 garage sales in one building! People there are used to bargaining… so pick up a few items from the same table and make an offer!
There is usually a line up half an hour early of 200 – 300 people… It is that popular! Really, once you go you will come back and back and back!
It’s also at the Tri Leisure Center… so if you have older ones, you can let them go swimming or ice skating while you shop!
I just can’t say enough good things about the Little Monster’s Swap Meets… after being to some really terrible ones where I didn’t buy a thing… I always come out of Little Monster’s with 2 – 3 bags full of goodies and for usually under $ 100! AMAZING!
