I was going here 10years ago when it was Franco’s. A lot has changed over the years, but this has remained the best Donair shop in St.Albert. I order a #3 w/Cheese everytime(Super Donair w/cheese + Fries + Drink) $ 15 and that’s with a tip

Been coming to Joe’s now for over a year and have never been disappointed. Hands down, the best donair I have ever had and I’ve had a lot of donairs in my day. Bill, the owner/chef, uses ample amounts of meat, customizes the donairs however you like and are never greasy. Also, ask for the garlic sauce and his special salt if you order french fries. Every order is made fresh right in front of you and doesn’t ever disappoint! My favorite donair place of all time!

Donair Meat check. Sweet Sauce check. Joe’s has good consistent donairs. Nothing special or out of the box but good every time you go. Even the regular size donair is too big for me to finish, unless I want a stomach ache. The best thing about Joe’s is their pop selection, they have some exotic drinks that I thought were extinct! The variety would make me come back just to try a new one each time. :)

Came again today for the 4th time in 5 weeks… Yes, they are that good! We usually come on Sundays but he doesn’t make chicken Donairs on Sundays so we popped in today, on Saturday, to specifically try his most favorite creation! He offers is up with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, olives, onions and your choice of a homemade garlic sauce(mayo based) and a homemade tzatziki(heavy on the fresh dill). Bill, the owner, advised that the chicken Donair is his most favorite creation on his menu. We opted for the tzatziki chicken Donair and my hubby devoured it! I’m not a big fan of dill so I’d probably opt for the Donair sweet sauce(usually served with beef Donairs). We also had my favorite today, a cheese & beef Donair! I call it «meat heaven» which makes my husband laugh because I was a vegetarian when we met! Everything here is delicious — if you haven’t been to Joe’s, do yourself a favor & bookmark this shop! The food is fresh, filling, & never greasy! As a side note, both hubby and I have never had a pita this good anywhere! His Pitas are so freaking fluffy and warm. His Donairs are given just the right amount if sauce(if you LOVE your Donair to drown in sauce, be sure to ask for extra). We love Joe’s Famous Donairs!!! (Just remember, the owner’s name is Bill)
