We went there for dinner tonight and saw a note on the door saying the«due to health reasons we have had to close the restaurant. Thank you for your past patronage». Lights wee off and the doors were locked. Goodbye to one of the few all you can eat sushi joints left around.

Overpriced for average quality. Customer service receives a «Failing Grade». Spouse and I arrived Friday night and unfortunately received dreadfully/painfully slow and unfriendly service. Dinner all you can eat is $ 20.95 and relative to other sushi restaurants, expensive for what you get and way below average food selection. They also clearly state on their menu how they will charge you if you order food you are unable to finish. Our orders were never complete only 2/3d’s came– the rest were missed and forgotten no explanation. Not once but twice on 2 orders. It’s like they didn’t care no explanation no apology when we brought this to their attention. We were never offered beverages after being seated. We had to ask 30 minutes into it if drinks were included. When the server first arrived, she had zero friendliness– no smile, no hello just are you ready to order? We kept waiting and waiting for our food and for just 2 orders, we waited a grand total of 1 hour and 35 minutes.(1 hour for the first order and for them to get the first order right and 35 minutes for the second order.)There was no communication between staff regarding our order status. I cannot overemphasize the negligent service and blatant disregard for waiting patrons. The whole time were sitting there waiting and waiting. servers were coming and going past us with utter disregard and concern for our order status Here’s the best part: After sitting for almost 35 minutes for our order #2, and nobody in site, the server finally came and with her back facing us. She couldn’t even show her face. She just placed our food on the table with one hand. No apology, no communication, no top ups on our tea nothing. A clear«who cares» approach to dining customers. Well at this point we had been cumulatively been waiting for grand total of 90 minutes for a simple 2 orders and both times our orders were incomplete. Our patience was wearing thin it was becoming laughable and unbearable at the same time. Conclusion:Negligent service, extremely slow, utter disrespect for dining patrons. Overpriced for average quality. I don’t understand how they are still in business. I’m sure we could have very well walked out of there without paying and they would have been clueless. All this can be yours for $ 45 bucks. :)

I have no idea how this place had a four-star rating!!! I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento for lunch, as expected the chicken was PRE-COOKED, i took one bite and thats all that i can handle, it was oily as hell and the skin starts to taste like paper. Salad was ok, tempura is fine, everything else is garbage. Don’t eat here, i know i wont, at least in my lifetime, like i said, one bite was bad enough.

My wife and I have been eating at this place for years now and we’ve always had good food and service. Our favorites, their spicy tuna hand rolls(cones) and their salmon sushi and sashimi, are always fresh and delicious. They have an extensive menu to choose from, as well as an all you can eat offering for lunch and dinner(at the time of this review the lunch is 12.95 and the dinner 19.95). There are a few more menu items to choose from on the dinner AYCE menu. My wife loves their tempura! Very nice staff and comfortable atmosphere. Casual dress. It’s tucked away in a rough part of town, but worth the visit and I’ve never had any trouble there. Don’t let the neighborhood stop you from checking it out.

Located in the heart of Whalley. I went here for the first time with a friend who frequents Yokohama. I find the prices to be very reasonable. Food is very authentic, fresh and tasty. The service has always been warm and friendly too! I now live in Surrey so it is easy for me to go and enjoy lunch or supper here. Everyone who I bring to Yokohama says that they will return again!

This is my short-line review. This place is OK, in a pinch. Only Japanese All-You-Can-Eat in Surrey. I went as my next meeting was in North Surrey. Small menu, decent price($ 12.95) for lunch. Nothing spectacular. Stingy on the sashimi. Everything else is obviously reheated or re-fried. Only go if you want AYCE.
