Fondé en 2008.

«I was told that I would never be a vet since as a young child I was diagnosed with severe allergies and asthma. Even though my exposure to animals was limited, I refused to believe that I would live my life exclusive of animals. When I left for university, I adopted my first cat, despite my parents and doctors. After that, I could not imagine being without a four-​legged companion. The rest, as they say, is history.»

Dr. Tara spent many years working at a multiple vet doctor practice in Scarborough. When that practice sold to a corporate chain, Dr. Tara decided to return to a more family-​oriented veterinary hospital environment. Dr. Tara has an undergraduate degree from Concordia University in Montréal, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College in 1994. She has a special interest in dental surgery but enjoys all aspects of general practice. Dr. Tara lives with her husband, three children, a Boston terrier, a Doberman, a hedgehog, and an assortment of birds.
