I was due for a trim on my very curly thick hair as my ends really needed it. My usual hairdresser was extremely busy this month so I decided to try out a new place and figured you cant really go wrong with a trim. I found a great deal on Groupon and the reviews were pretty good so i decided to give it a try…
The hairdresser Tina was washing my hair and offered to thin my hair a little too. I wasn’t really sure about it since I was planning on having a Keratin treatment done soon, but she seemed so confident and said she would just take out a little and that it would fall much nicer. I got excited so I decided to go ahead with it…
Big mistake!!! When she was finished blow drying my hair I couldn’t believe how it looked! My hair looked dry, frizzy and the ends were frail. I then ran my fingers through my hair and my heart fell to the floor. My hair felt very thin!!! When I pointed it out to Tina she said it because she flat ironed it very straight so it seems that way. But I know my hair, its thick and course. I couldn’t believe how thin it was I have never felt my hair like that before… It looked like a disaster not at all like the way it should after leaving a salon. She asked what she can do to fix it but obviously it was already too late. I usually wear hair extensions to add length and nobody could ever tell as my hair is very thick. Now I can barely put them in as my hair is so thin its hard to hide them. I cant believe this happened to me and I am getting married in the new year :(. I was crying all weekend so my fiancé took me to the beauty supply store and we bought a half wig since I cant style my hair anymore. The only thing that will fix this is when my hair grows back and it takes forever to grow :(
I called the owner when I got home from the salon and she asked me to come in to see what she can do. When she saw my hair she agreed that I would have to wait till it grows back and gave me some tiny samples of some hair treatment to help with the ends. She kept defending Tina saying that there must have been a miscommunication and that most people with thick hair like mine like to have it thinned. I can see someone wanting to have their hair a little thinned but not half of their hair taken out! Plus I found out from my hairdresser that my type of hair should never be thinned and they should have known that. The hairdresser Tina who ruined my hair didn’t even come out to apologize, she was hiding in the back the whole time. I have never wrote a bad review in my life as I am not a picky person and I usually feel bad but I just can’t let this go unheard. Do not buy any cheap deals online especially when it comes to your hair. Its true what they say you get what you pay for :(:(:(

I was introduced to this good hair salon by a groupon. My hairstylist, Tina, worked up virtually every hair strand with product: Courteous staff. My haircut: Great, Hairstyle: Awesome. Looking forward to my next.

This salon was amazing. Great experience, and like everyone says the workers at the salon are so welcoming and helpful. I went yesterday with my mother and sister to get NextGen manicures, it was done by Julie and she did an amazing job. We came all the way from Brampton, but it was so worth the travel.
Can’t say enough about this place, and the costumer service was great. Ola offered us coffee or tea, and treats while we each waiting to get out nails done. Definitely going back next time I need anything!

High standards, immaculate service, great mani/​pedis as well as hair cuts and color. Will come back again and again.

Felt daring yesterday and decided to get my hair recoloured at a new salon on my way home. Called to make sure that they had availability as I have super long and thick hair and have been a purple head for the past few months.
My stylist was Tina and I must say It was probably the best decision I ever made coming here and finding Tina. She was extremely pleasant and fun, my nervousness went away when I saw how professional and attentive she was, made me so comfortable that I right away booked my cut for the following week.
What made this place even more amazing was the price!!! Since I have long curly thick hair down to my hips I was stoked that for the first time ever they didn’t slap on an additional 30 – 40 bucks like other salons because I have long hair. A full colour (two tones of purple) styling came to. are you ready for it !!! 95 BUCKS!!! plus! she stayed till 8:45 perfecting the style, and not once was she annoyed that I had taken up her time and made her stay past close.
Thank you to the owner (Ola) and to the sweet Tina for making my experience at Salon Care so great.

I came here for a mani/​pedi, wash, cut and style and my experience was fabulous! Everyone working in the salon is super kind and friendly.
Julia did my manicure and pedicure. She was fantastic. She shaped and painted my nails really well. She also gave me a really good foot and hand massage after the shaping and before the polish application. It was perfect for my soar muscles.
I upgraded to a shellac manicure and couldn’t be happier. She applied the polish really close to my cuticles so it will look better as my nails grow out. I will definitely be back for more mani/pedi’s at this salon.
Next, I had my hair washed, trimmed and styled by Vadim. He did a great job and is very friendly and outgoing. He trimmed my hair so it would have a nice shape (I wanted to keep my length) and he did an amazing job at styling my hair with loose curls.
I highly recommend this salon and can’t wait to have more positive experiences.
