Conveniently located nearby Eglinton subway station, an easy online booking system, amazing prices (including weekday discounts), great service, nice clean facilities.
My 1 star rating obviously has nothing to do with the operations of this place, which has many great things going for it, but about the brazilian wax itself.
I have been here for a brazilian wax twice, probably about a year apart. The first time, the results were. well, not great. It was enough that this did not become a «go-​to» place, despite the great price.
The first visit:
Let’s be honest: this is an uncomfortable painful process. But oh dear god, the pain here is pretty bad. It’s a weird technique of waxing large patches, and pulling completely upwards. In addition, there was some uncomfortable rewaxing certain areas happening… well…you really shouldn’t put your little lady through that.
The result: Patchy job, with areas that were left in pain for days (potential burn from re-​waxing? who knows).
The process probably took 15min, and there is a lot of pride taken in the speed that this is completed…
The second time I came here:
It was completely out of convenience, need, and desperation. The pain was just as awful as the first visit. The improvement: there was no re-​waxing of already waxed areas this time around.
The result: broken hairs, and missed patches. It was like this was done in the dark with an at-​home waxing kit. Anyways — the broken hairs ended being a huge problem when it comes to maintenance.
The convenience is there, but the quality is way off for me. Ladies, be nice to your body, understand if the wax is working or not working for you — sometimes the cost savings isn’t worth it.

This place is amazing! It is just a short walk from davisville/​eglinton station so very easy to get to. The place itself is quite clean and fresh and the reception staff is quite nice.
The wax rooms are very clean, and I love the little stickers they have up on the ceiling — i just think it is a clever little touch.
I’ve been going there religiously every 3 weeks for a brazilian and full leg wax. Juliana is AH-​MAZING! She is bubbly, friendly and make you feel very comfortable. More importantly, she knows what she’s doing. She works with you to try and make sure this experience is as painless as possible.
Also, she fixed my eyebrows — and girls, we all know once you’ve messed them up how hard it is to fix these bad boys! My eyebrows are now once again naturally on fleek!
I’ve also had a wax with Gena and Gladys in the past. They’re good, but Juliana remains my girl!
Actually tbh, I did not like my experience with Gladys. She did not understand my super sensitive skin and told me I had eczema down there — had to run to my DR afterwards and she confirmed that was not true and it is just that the nature of my skin is extremely sensitive. I just don’t think it is ok for her to make such claims and freak clients out. I did go back however, and that’s when I met Juliana and my life changed.
I am taking off a star because of the AC — Everytime I go, there seems to be something wrong with the air and it gets quite hot. Nothing unbearable though, but they ought to check that out.
I know Juliana is going to be on maternity leave by the end of the year (still a couple of months girls, don’t worry!), and so I am thinking of checking out their other location (Bloor and Bathurst I believe) just because I live on Bloor West, and if Juliana is no longer there, I might as well look for a new place.
So let me know if anyone has thoughts on that place :)

Yes, I would recommend. Yes, I will be back. Yes, this place is worth your while.
A quick walk from eglinton subway station, this place is a breeze to get to/​from. Making your appointment online is a fantastic idea, with almost immediate confirmation.
Could not be more clean, the décor is super cute and the staff are amazing. I went for my first brazillian and the tech walked me through everything, put up with my small talk and took her time. I don’t have much to compare to, but I’d imagine it would be much more painful for someone who doesn’t care or is rushing.
The pricing was absolutely fair!
Not really something I’d ever see myself excited to go do, but these ladies know what they’re doing and make the trip way better than expected.

The place is clean and staff are friendly. Their price is not bad at all. However, I wasn’t happy with my full body waxing service. The lady didn’t do a good job on me. I still can spot some hair left on my skin. It just doesn’t look good at all.

I finally found a reliable place to get waxed! My friend recommended this place to me. I will not be going anywhere else for my waxing needs. It does cost more than one of those «nails and waxing» places but the higher cost is soooooo worth it! Juliana is now my go to lady. She is so talented and meticulous about creating the perfect eyebrow shape for your face. I’m very happy I found Aroma. The atmosphere is so zen-​like and calming. It’s clean and professional. They have a no-​double dipping rule which means that the wax will always be clean.

Finally found my waxing place!
Friendly, clean, aesthetically soothing, and just because that’s not enough, the prices are amazingly reasonable and might I say… inexpensive!
Juliana gave me a wonderful treatment: she is so bubbly, professional and knowledgeable in her craft. I didn’t hesitate to ask her questions and she certainly knew what she was taking about.
Also, they offer package deals– so buy in advance and save yourself some cash!

I’ve been going here for the past 3 years and I always ask for Lisa or Mary. They are quick and professional and for a student like myself, their prices are FANTASTIC. The online appointment system is very easy and convenient, although you can’t cancel appointments online. But if I am ever late or need to change my time slot, they are very accommodating and always manage to squeeze me in. They also do not pressure clients into buying any of their products unlike many other places and provide oils/​cream for you to use when the waxing is complete.
The spa upstairs wasn’t as great (I’ve had a massage and facials) and my sessions were always cut short. I don’t recommend it as much as the waxing services.

I’ve been to this location several times for brazillian waxes after a friend recommended it.
Starting with the positives, the place is clean and the process is quite quick. My old esthetician spent over 40 minutes on a brazillian but Aroma waxists do it in less than 10, every time.
My problem is with the quality of the job. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are usually missed patches and broken hairs. I once walked out with a crooked landing strip… It is generally just bit sloppy. But since they are quite a bit cheaper than my waxist who takes 5x as long, up until now I’ve stuck with them.
I’ve only recently had to rethink my decision. I was here for a wax last month and the waxist went over a spot too many times. Of course I bled… I’m a realistic woman so if I’m consciously putting melted wax on my genitals and trusting someone to rip it off… I get it, stuff happens… But please don’t lie and tell me my raw skin is an ingrown hair.
I’m going to give Bloor St. Aroma a try. because it really is cheap and convenient and I almost don’t mind tweeting the strays myself if it saves me 20 bucks and half an hour. but I think I’m done with this location.

Cheap but you get what you pay for.
Bruised terribly after my brazilian there. I would rather pay a little more and leave with healthy bits.

I just had a waxing appointment with Aroma, and it’s the best first time experience I can ever ask for!
I went Unilocal for advice (duh, obvs) and a lot of reviews said Gladys is really helpful. So I went online and booked an appointment with Gladys.
When I arrived, the lady at the front desk is really nice and Gladys came out to start my waxing. I was very nervous since it’s my first time (and it’s a Brazilian too, double the nervousness!), but Gladys was really good at explaining on what she’s gonna do, and asking me nicely and politely to cooperate with her so she can do it fast, quick and nice!
The wax is actually not bad in terms of the pain, and Gladys did an AMAZING job. I have literally never seen myself that hairless ever since I got into puberty (lol). And Gladys is really, really comforting and assuring, she is always making sure that I’m doing good. Also, the price is REALLY reasonable too. Aroma is definitely my go-​to waxing clinic now!

Was there today for a brazilian wax. I originally thought I had booked it with julianna but was welcomed to the room by Gladys so even better! I read the reviews here and I must say I agree with everyone, Gladys is amazing. She taught me where to pull so there will be less pain, and explained to me all the after care. Shes also very friendly and funny so our convo kind of got me distracted from the pain. The facility is also extremely clean so I was not concerned at all about hygienic issues.
All in all a great experience and would not hesitate recommend it to anyone!

I moved to the area in September. I went to a sugaring place before but never got the same results as a wax. Tried this place and love it. Been there 4 times now and have not had a bad experience. You walk in and the girl at the desk is very nice. The place is always clean, which is important. I go to Gladys, she is amazing. She is so nice, does a quick, efficient job and never makes you feel awkward. The price is great, especially for someone like me on a budget. There are sometimes a few stray, stubborn hairs left over, but thats normal from any of the places I’ve been to. I never expect them to go over my private areas with a magnifying glass to make sure they get every hair. The online booking is very easy and you can usually book any time you want a week in advance. The girls never push any of their products and I always feel good leaving this place. I definitely recommend Aroma!

I have found my new waxing place! I have had Brazilians, underarm, and leg wax (on separate occasions).
+ Go see Gladys! It seems like everyone loves her, and for good reason. She makes the experience as comfortable as it can be.
+ They specialize in Brazilians. They’re right! They’re fast, reasonably priced, and do a very good job.
+I didn’t find them to be pushy in making another appointment. That makes me want to make another appointment.
+ LOVE their online appointment system/​emails. When I’m making an appointment from work, it’s so much easier to email!
+They were very accommodating when I had to change an appointment. Great service.
+Discount on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! Just great, especially for a first time try.
+Open later (great for working regular hours and you want to wax on a weeknight).
This is my new go-​to for waxing. They know what they’re doing! (Especially Gladys!)

The prices are very inexpensive, so that’s a plus. I’ve never seen better rates. However, I don’t think the staff is thorough at all. I feel like I need to keep cross-​checking their work as on more than one occasion I have come home and had to finish the job with my tweezer.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. She said that se really liked it. I can only assume that she’s like pain.
The only good thing for this place was that it was clean. Very hygienic. Like they said no double dipping in the wax which made me feel better about the place when I went in. Oh and they were prompt about starting right away.
That’s where it ended. The actual service was horrible. It’s been almost a full day and it’s still really sore. During the waxing I noticed some blood from one of the strips. I have a blood red bruise on my inner thigh bikini area. I’ve also noticed now that the area isn’t as red that she’s missed patches of hair. Also that some of the hair looks as of it wasn’t even pulled completely from the roots. That it broke off at the surface. I’ve had waxes before, not here, and I’ve never had an issue. Everything down there is sore.

This was my first time at Aroma and I received a high bikini and full leg wax.
The spa was very clean and smelt amazing! The receptionist was very kind and also they are flexible with appointments as I called them the morning of my appointment to make it earlier.
My waxer, Gina, was very kind and understanding that this was my first time and explained everything as she was doing it as well as created conversation. To do both high bikini and full leg it takes about 45 mins. The pain was not too bad. It hurt but only for a few seconds and it wasn’t excruciating. The room was very clean and music was playing while getting waxed which I feel distracted from the pain slightly. I was originally supposed to receive a Brazilian but she said my hair was too short and it would only be good to get a high bikini. So I would let it grow for about 2 –3 weeks (I let it grow for about 1week)
After the wax I still felt and saw some stray hairs. In areas, my skin is not smooth and it feels like stubble. So I was not fully satisfied as I wanted silky smooth legs girl! There were less stray hairs in my bikini area than my legs. I also still have some redness about 9hrs after the wax.
This was my first time getting waxed so I will probably try another waxing facility to see if I get better results!

Thank you for the attentive response! I will respectfully decline, however, because neither location is close to me anymore, and because after going to a clinic with hard wax only, I find that it works better for me.

I was referred to Aroma by a friend who goes to their Bloor St. location. She sold it as quick and painless… and they just opened a location at Yonge and Eglinton. I looked it up and it seemed worth a try!
Booking ⁵⁄₅:
This is important for me because I always want to book appointments at the most random times when I remember I need it and I would prefer not to ask for a brazilian over the phone for other people to hear.
They have an online system which makes it easy to see a) availability and b) how long the appointment should take. Bonus: you can do it at work and no one will know!
Location ⁴⁄₅:
While it’s not right at a subway stop it’s about a 7 minute walk from eglinton and probably a 5 minute walk from davisville. Great location!
Aesthetics ⁵⁄₅:
As a brand new location I would expect nothing less than pristine but this level of appearance does not come just from white walls. Everything was clean — and smelled clean! A nice and comfy waiting area and simple hallway into individual waxing rooms. There is a coat rack — necessity for the winter months.
Staff ⁵⁄₅:
The woman at the front desk was very kind and she introduced me to my aesthetician. I had Gladys as my aesthetician and she was so nice. We had a laugh — just what you need during a brazilian… I’ll be going back for her definitely!
Now for the most important part, the wax.
The room was super hygienic — my most important criteria because no matter how fast or painless it is, if you are getting waxed in the wrong place you’re screwed! The room had no dirt or dust and was prepared with all the pre and post-​waxing necessities.
Quick and painless was underselling it. It was speedy. I’ve never experienced a faster wax — I think it was under their ’15 minutes’ that they sell it as! They use cold wax which makes it much less painful. Most places use hard wax which works well but can still be painful. I honestly could not believe how simple the wax was… I’ll be heading back there from now on.
As someone who has been waxing for over 10 years at many different places, I would highly recommend Aroma to any/​all people.
