Pros: Food was good
Cons: It was freezing cold inside. Staff claimed the heater was on, but everyone in our wedding was wearing their jackets all night long. How terrible!
The view of the CN tower was blocked by wedding decorations, and it got dark by 6pm no beautiful lake views.
Hand railing is loose, it is a safety hazard. White couches are dirty, and the banquet chairs had mold on them.
This place is overrated. I would not pay to have my wedding here. They need a glass floor to show off the lake because you can’t even tell that you are above water.
This place needs some major renovations.

I was able to visit Atlantis twice during my extended weekend for Caribana. I can’t comment on food, but the space is amazing. The vibe was excellent, everyone was having a good time, drinks were flowing, and nobody got into a fight reminiscent of a NYC borough party.
The staff is accommodating and the bartenders delivered quick service.
There are multiple levels/rooms for different parties to take place simultaneously and I even got locked out for a bit after my curiosity led me outside a back door and up a few flights of stairs to overlook the beautiful view. Ha.

Its a great venue to host various things. At the end of the day, it’s another alternative, it’s a different feel. It does resemble an airport, but the views more than make up for it.

I attended a work party here and was disappointed with the quality of food and the quality of the service, with the exception of the bar staff who were very friendly and accommodating.
The starter soup was butternut squash, which was pleasant enough given that we were in a banquet hall, but the main meal — chicken with potatoes and vegetables — was entirely sub par. There were maybe three pieces of potatoes, the vegetables were undercooked and oversalted, and everything was topped with a gravy that lacked particular flavour.
Now I understand that this a banquet hall and it is not easy to feed hundreds of people, but even still I would probably have given a two-star review. What does this place in was that the service was below my expectations too.
When we sat down we asked what the food was. Our waitress did not know, even guessed wrong. We mentioned that two people at our table had birthdays (one the night before and one that very evening). We asked for a candle or something on the dessert just to make them feel special, and the waitress just told us that the Chef was too busy to do it… Or even allow it? Pretty disappointing.

I went here as a «plus one» and reading some of the other reviews, sounds like this place might be better in the summer. In the winter — it was the pits.
The entrance is stupidly located, confusing to get to, and when you finally do get there, you still have to trudge down a long hall in your heels. What is this, Porter Airlines?
Hard to comment on the food because I dont know the budget, but based on the quality of the food served, I’d venture a guess that the budget was $ 2.00 a per. Butternut squash soup was a gross, bland mess poured out of a water jug table side; chicken main course had no starch side but just a few undercooked carrots and unseasoned green… something; and crème brûlée dessert was topped with completely unseasonable and obviously unfresh fruit.
The service staff was useless; server couldn’t tell us what the main was going to be (we didn’t get to pick, she guessed «beef?» and was wrong). Two people at our table were celebrating birthdays, but they wouldn’t do anything — not a candle, not a special touch, in any way. («The chef says he won’t do it.» The chef? really? I work in a high end, chef-centered restaurant and we barely call our chef ‘the chef’. Sorry he’s so busy putting the exact same piece of chicken on 200 plates.)
Cabs don’t come this way naturally, so you’ll be stuck here 15 minutes more than you want to waiting for one.

I came here with high expectations and man were they disappointed.
Inside of having tables inside a hall for guests to go to the food stations and head back to their tables, this place divided the party into three different rooms. A nice formal dinner was turned into pretty much a lounge style décor. Instead of being given tables to accompany 6 – 8 people a table like most halls do, they had tables seating 4 people and couches in the rooms. The food station was in one of the three rooms so guests had to walk from room to room. It was ridiculous and the food tasted awful.
I’m not very nitpicking with banquet hall food because some are hit or miss, but this place honestly had the worst food ever. The mini burgers tasted like they were made a day ago and microwaved again, the risotto tasted like over salted baby food.
The washroom was shared among three rooms for a party of almost 300 people.
Never again will i come here willingly, and i will NEVER host any parties here.

I attended a wedding here recently and I was really impressed. The location isn’t bad and the service was excellent! Views of the Toronto skyline at sunset are hard to beat as a backdrop to your wedding party. The food was not «gourmet» amazing, but it was plentiful and satisfying.

I had the chance to visit Atlantis Pavilions on my trip to Toronto for a cousin’s wedding. The views of the city are awesome, and agreed — best from the rooftop deck. The reception was great — the room was beautifully decorated. The clear windows out of the side of the ballroom gave us a breath taking view of Toronto by night!
We had a great set of bar tenders who were friendly and kept the party going!!! We also had some great steak and chicken.
Had a nice time, good food and people which helped make the wedding even better!

Coolest views from the roof — sunsets through the windows — dance floor over the water in glass — amazing venue for a wedding!
We had our wedding on the roof, and went back up for portraits at sunset. The setting and dinner were amazing, and we setup a slideshow of all our past photos on the projector, so they were flexible and available for that.

Note: I don’t go to places like this as a guest… I’m always the entertainment. That said, I’ve seen many many different event venues over the years.
Atlantis is essentially a 1960s inspired glass floating square fishbowl.
The views «can» be great if you don’t cheap out on the room and book stupid early to avoid having to look at the hippo bus trundling along or the paddle boats.
While some of the rooms can be dressed up nicely, some of them look the the used and abused 60s clap-trap that they are.
It’s rough.

Probably the best event venue in Toronto hands down. Been here for a relative’s wedding and it was spectacular. The view was amazing and it creates a certain atmosphere for the entire event. The venue itself was perfect, separate rooms for the service /reception with a separate bar upstairs for mingling.
I think there was more than one room available that could be booked. The catering and decorator used for the event that I went to was separate from the venue so I can’t comment on that, but I would highly recommend.
