This is a comfortable café, where you can get various beverages. It’s quiet in the mornings, and it has a nice view of the street. The co-​founder is so incredibly kind, cheery and helpful. There are some sandwiches and croissants, but it depends on the day you go. Lots of power outlets and Wi-​Fi.

This is a great café. Their organic coffee’s really good! Love the quiet ambience. It’s perfect!

This was a very cute & cozy little café! There was free wifi and some outlets which made it a great place to study and do work! There was also a cute couch to sit at!
The service was good. There was a friendly barista who helped me with a smile, which is always very refreshing.
I ordered a matcha green tea latte and paid $ 4.20. It was very yummy and I personally liked it better than the green tea lattes from Starbucks.
I was hoping to take a cute picture of the latte art, but unfortunately they ran out of the latte cups or something so she had to use a paper cup, making the latte art on the top was all smooshed. But that’s no big deal (my beautiful latte photo will just have to wait ’til next time).
I came on a very windy day, so the bells on the door kept jingling. I didn’t get bothered by it, but if you’re someone who gets annoyed by constant noises like that, then maybe try to come by on a not so windy day :)
Overall I give it a ⁴⁄₅! I will definitely come back to study and maybe try some food!

Nice enough /​quaint place. Liked the music :) Barista wasn’t the friendliest but by no means was she rude at all.
Good selection of hot beverages and snacks.
Great place to relax while waiting for a lunch or dinner reservation at one of the many nearby Baldwin St restaurants.

One of my favourite coffee shops in the neighbourhood, this Baldwin village staple is cute, cozy, and fairly priced. The wi-​fi is reliable, the drinks are delicious (matcha flat white is quickly becoming my go to drink!) and the service is wonderful. They have some tasty food too; I really enjoy the veggie bagel sandwich, made with good quality ingredients and lots of cheese! The entry is wheelchair accessible (though the door may be hard to open for a wheelchair user; no automatic door) which is great for an area with few accessible coffee shops. Highly recommended to get some work done or chat over coffee with a friend.

I would like to thank one of my friends for introducing me to this place. I’m not much of a post-​drink person after lunch, but I decided to give it a shot since my friend raved this place so much.
The interior of this place looks very ambient, and screams «student hangout». I saw a lot of students inside, in fact, which makes sense considering its proximity to U of T and OCAD.
Since I was in a rush to head back to work, I ordered a Matcha Latte. For $ 4 the price is a bit steep, but considering the positivity I gambled on the fact this drink would be worth the high price.
Sure enough, I really enjoyed the latte! It was definitely one of the best I’ve had, and the matcha taste was very rich. There was also a nice leaf-​shaped cream at the top, which really impressed me on this place’s creativity. I even impressed my colleagues with how beautifully the leaf was shaped, and have told them to visit here since it’s so close to my office.
I was served by two lovely young Asian ladies, and service was overall excellent. Definitely an awesome local establishment in the popular Baldwin Village strip.
Thanks Bicerin, I now know where to go in order to get some caffeine to power through my work day!

Cozy and convenient studying spot for U of T students. There isn’t too much seating space though, so if you come during peak hours, you’ll have to sit around on their couch to wait for the next available spot.

It is located on Baldwin Street not Kensington Market side. It is near Mccaul street. Many of their customers are students and they study hard there. The inside is like a library. The atmosphere motivates me and I can get things done. Music is good and coffee is good. There are many kinds of drinks and baked goods look good. The price is good, too. I will try baked goods the next time.

I tell myself that I’m not a big fan of coffees or lattes, but that’s a lie. After discovering Bicerin I feel like I’ve converted. I walked in on a whim and ordered my first Lavender Vanilla Tea latte after always passing this place (it’s almost too tempting to live so close). It was about $ 4.20 after tax? But my goodness it was soothing and delicious. I’m sad that there’s only one size, because I drank it so fast haha. Too soon.
Then after I came back again and again to keep trying things on the menu. I even brought my boyfriend here. It has free WiFi and is good for working (pretty great connection I’d say). Some of the other things we enjoyed:
— Cortado, he likes the creaminess with the bitterness of the espresso
— Matcha tea latte, mmm! So good! Perfect amount of sweetness and balance of warm, frothy milk. But not to say it is too decadent. To quote him, «I want an IV of this stuff. Just a constant stream of Matcha tea latte». It’s the perfect treat.
— Latte with a shot of hazelnut flavour ($ 0.50 more), yum. I don’t even like lattes normally but I really enjoyed this! I’d order it again.
— London Fog tea latte. Wooo a drink that’s all white. I personally think this is not as unique as the lavender vanilla (sorry, it had me at first sip) but that being said it was still enjoyable.
One thing that was lacklustre was the Masala Chai Iced Tea. Not sure if it wasn’t steeped long enough, but it tasted like diluted tea water :(disappointing. Hence –1 star. That was my boyfriend’s first drink at Bicerin after I raved about the drinks I got. Fortunately the other things he got was great so he comes here on his own time too. Maybe I’ll give the iced tea another try during the summer.
INTERIOR: you will notice that this place gets rather warm on the inside. There’s always condensation on the window and my glasses fogs up when I come in. If this is your only stop for the day, then you’ll be fine with just a t-​shirt (and pants of course) as you’ll adjust.
Theres also nowhere to really put your coats/​bags, especially since a majority of the seating are little stools. That’s my only other complaint. Otherwise, the jazz music is fun, the little couch is cozy and comfortable, and the place isn’t noisy.
I haven’t tried the food, but one day. I also keep coming up with excuses to come here (I need to try allllll their drinks) and it’s not typical of me to willingly spend $ 4 on a drink — so this place HAS to be good. They also have a stamp card where you get a free coffee/​tea or specialty tea after you buy 10, which is okay but if you’re coming here anyway then you might as well.

Such a cute little place on Baldwin! Made a quick stop here to grab some caffeine and settled on the matcha latte. It’s delicious with great matcha flavour. A little sweet but I kind of like it that way.
Hubby got a flat white. He thought it was pretty good, but not necessarily better than Starbucks or Second Cup.
They had lots of baked goodies behind the glass (ginger molasses cookies with a chunk of ginger on it!). I didn’t get one but will definitely get that or the cashew cookies.
My only complaint is that the space is small. Yes there are tables and benches to sit at (and even a couch too!), however they’re all full of people and sprawled with their laptops/​tablets.
If you’re looking to pop in and get one on the go, it’s pretty good. They have the good cup covers (not like Tim Horton’s).

I have to say there are plenty of reasons to like this place: location, service, and coffee itself.
I’ve passed so many times through Baldwin street and never noticed it. The coffee shop has a good atmosphere inside, nice music playing in the background and service was really polite and friendly.
Coffee itself (got a flat white) had a nice flavour even though I wish it was a bit stronger (could have gotten double I guess). They roast their beans from what I saw which is a big plus in my book.
There were just a few things for which I couldn’t give 5 stars, but it won’t stop me from going back. First, there seemed to be a lot of people on their laptops just taking space without even having drinks and sitting for hours. I mean it’s a coffee shop. The library is only a few blocks away.
The other thing is I prefer my coffee in a porcelain cup instead of glass, but not a big deal.
On a side note, didn’t know it was TAN at some point, which is still one of my favourites in Nova Scotia.

Gotta give it a 4.5…Came here the other day for the first time and absolutely loved it… I always enjoy trying new independent cafés! The ambiance, the smooth jazz music, and coziness this café offered was just what I was searching for.
They have a good selection of drinks and food items, all at standard prices. I ordered a flat white qith a shot of gingerbread flavour. The barista apologized for messing up on the latte art, no hard feelings though, the drink still tasted amazing and looked really cute! She also informed me of the Wi-​Fi password, which I later noticed was written on a chalkboard, and also gave me a loyalty card… buy 9 specialty drinks, get 1 free. Not the worlds greatest loyalty card, but I’ll take it :)
There are plenty of outlets so feel free to bring your laptop when you come here. The noise level is relatively low, so it makes for the perfect study café! I grabbed a seat along the front window and spent a solid 3 hours here doing homework, and enjoying my quality drink and the overall feel of the café.
Only one bad thing ~ at one point, a dragonfly or something that looked like one was buzzing around me and was annoying and a little scary aha (I hate bugs)! But it eventually found its way outside the café. I just hope that the presence of bugs isn’t a recurring thing! Regardless, I would come back here in no time!

Love this coffee shop! It’s a great addition to the Baldwin village. I love their hazelnut latte — it isabsolutely amazing! I prefer their coffee over starbux anyday!

Please don’t go here. It’s just SO good, so cozy, and so humble, with the most delicious coffee and drink menu around, that I really wouldn’t want anybody else taking up my favourite go-​to café and study spot.
…but if you must, try their espresso, their Lavender Vanilla Tea Latte (a Bicerin favourite and a work of art made with real lavender,) and their cortado. The service is also great to boost, and the ambiance puts any Starbucks to shame. My boyfriend and I are obsessed with this place and make the trip about once a week.
…oh, but you wouldn’t like it ;)

Love the patio in the summer. Baldwin east of Spadina is a pretty and cool street.
I’ve had some of the food… bagels, sandwiches. They do the job but nothing to write home about. My only real complaint is the seats. They are like little stools and so uncomfortable. To enforce a time limit? If so, smart thinking! :P

Stopped in to grab some coffee and warm up. Friend staff and nice little spot on Baldwin street. My coffee was really good, as was my friends cider. No complaints from us. We didn’t try any of the food so hard to comment on that. Would recommend and return.

I was in that area and needed a place to sit down and doing some reading. This place is really good.
Casual decorated. A lot of choices.
I ordered matcha latte and cheesecake. Each one was way better than I expected. The cheesecake is the best I had so far. There was caramel on top. Although I am not a fan of coffee. The matcha latte is perfect.
I also saw a charming girl when I was reading. Such a good day. Will definitely go back!

Bicerin has beautifully crafted lattes and other coffee creations. One of the few places I’ve been to that does a flat white. Loved the richness from the espresso, it wasn’t bitter in the slightest. Sans sugar, it’s a great drink.
The ambiance is lovely; quiet indie music is played and the café is bright and clean. Wish they hadn’t sold out of croissants though — the snack would have been a perfect accompaniment to my espresso.
Friendly staff, slightly hipster, great spot for working or chilling out. No complaints for this cozy café in Baldwin Village. Will be back.

I am a tea drinker and I appreciate their creative tea lattes but I thought to myself, take a chance and ordered a latte. It was delicious and tasty. The coffee flavour is so authentic and smooth. I must admit I only drank it for flavour and experience but it was exceptionally tasty.
The decoration that I got was very creative and made me feel extra special:) I will come back here again and get my dear friends coffee for them to enjoy. Maybe even try the coffee beans.
The atmosphere is not so cliquey and the staff is friendly:)
