Dr. Allan Bortnick was born in Toronto Canada.

He graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1977 and started practice in his present location at 1126 Eglinton Ave W. in Toronto.

Dr. Bortnick graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine as a Naturopath in 1981. He has studied healing arts worldwide and has lectured extensively to professionals and lay people alike in nutrition, herbology, stress control and meditation, cranial-​sacral therapy, neuro-​emotional synchronization therapy and many other healing related topics.

Dr. Bortnick lives in Toronto with his wife and three children.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of additional charges in a Sexual Assault investigation.
It is alleged that:
— a patient was sexually assaulted by her doctor during treatment
— the doctor is a chiropractor and a naturopath at 1126 Eglinton Avenue West
On Wednesday, April 8, 2015, Dr. Allan Bortnick, 66, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
1) Sexual Assault
It is further alleged that:
— a second patient was sexually assaulted by the doctor during her treatment
On Thursday, July 9, 2015, Dr. Allan Bortnick, 66, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
1) Sexual Assault
It is now further alleged that:
— three more patients were sexually assaulted by their doctor during treatment
— the sexual assaults occurred during the following time periods: Monday, October 6, 2003; between January and December 2008; and Thursday, March 31, 2011
On Tuesday, November 3, 2015, Dr. Allan Bortnick, 66, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
1) three counts of Sexual Assault
He appeared in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, 10 a.m., room 306.
Police believe there may be other victims.
