Historique

Fondé en 2008.

I started my own business as Broken Leg Furniture Repair in 2008. Prior to that I ran the Repair Department at Marty Millionaire Furniture for 18 years. Marty’s was the largest store house of rental furniture in Toronto until they closed in 2015, supplying all the major film companies, photo shoots, and private rentals. During my time there I had the opportunity to hone my repair skills on most any furniture repair problem imaginable.

Moving between multiple cities had wreaked havoc on my wooden couch frame. Multiple wooden dowels were loose and a couple had broken in half. I’d thought about getting rid of the frame, but loved the mid-​century lines and size of the couch.
Tom gave me an online quote and was clear in his e-​mail communications. He repaired the couch frame within a 24-​hour time window, at a reasonable price (I had been quoted 4 times the price by a competitor who also said they would need take 2 weeks for repair), and well (I can now sit on my couch without worrying about it imminently falling apart under my weight!).
He personally phoned me to let me know that the couch was done and when it was ready to be picked up.
Highly recommend him for broken and loose furniture. The website mentions he doesn’t do refinishing or reupholstery.
