New Indian place in the Yonge-Davisville area. This place took over from the Hungarian place which was totally outdated and unfriendly. This place is now refreshing and inviting. You have a choice of several curries and signature dishes. I had the 2-entrée combo where I can get 2 curries-salad-rice or naan. I will have to admit the portions are small. For my combo it came to $ 8.99 with taxes included and that was with no drink. You don’t get much meat(roughly 4 chicken cubes). I had the butter chicken and Lamb. Chicken was excellent! Just a little kick for spice and nice rich tomato gravy. Lamb was a little oily and fatty — however nice and tender. For my portion I was quite satisfied however a hungry person or the men out there might be left hungry: P One PEEVE I have with this place is the way the manager spoke to his staff. He was grilling her and basically giving her condescending orders while I was sitting there. «Why are you doing this … when the customer came in why didn’t you do that .». Now since I was the only person in the place at the time I heard everything because there wasn’t any background noise. If the place was hopping I probably wouldn’t have noticed. Regardless of the situation — I HATE it when managers tell their staff off infront of customers — take it in to the back or use a lower tone in your voice. In the lovely girls defense — she was on the ball and made sure everything was okie with my meal. Even though I didn’t order a drink, she eventually came over with a cup of water. Now that is going the extra mile and I appreciated it. I will definitely be back to try their other dishes! *They deliver and cater as well
