Diaper-eez

My husband and I made the decision to go with cloth diapers while pregnant with our first, and learned about Diaper-​eez through having seen a cloth diaper demonstration at a local baby show. We did a lot of research on our own before visiting the store one Saturday afternoon to get a better feel for our options. The owner and other staff member working there were incredibly helpful, and really made us feel as though they had our best interests in mind. We didn’t buy that day, and spent the following two weeks investigating other possibilities from other stores/​vendors. We ended up back at Diaper-​eez, and with more help from the fantastic sales staff, finally decided on the Grovia line. Grovia is one of the more expensive lines Diaper-​eez carries, but this was wholeheartedly our choice; at no point did we feel pushed into spending more than we had to. We also felt as though we could be honest about seriously considering other options and products that Diaper-​eez does not sell, and were not made to feel bad for letting them know that we could eventually purchase the item in question elsewhere.
Great experience all around with Diaper-​eez, and would not hesitate to recommend for people interested in cloth diapering.

Items are over-​priced compared to identical items at Toys R Us and Walmart, and ordering things through them takes 3+ weeks.

A great resource and place to learn and purchase items for in relation to cloth diapering and taking care of babies. The great thing about them is that they share their knowledge of cloth diapering and its advantages over disposables. They’re still as chipper as can be even when we decide not to purchase from them. We do end up buying stuff later on, so it works out, but they’re a true asset to the community and the environment. Keep it up, Diaper-​eez!

We are definitely cloth diapering and it is nice to have a store that sells all the types of diapers we’re looking at using.
That said, they could stand to have more items that are organic, cotton and eco-​friendly, (and not made in China), but they had knowledgeable staff on how to put on a cloth diaper, how to use one, and so on.
What I hate is that they are stocked out on the things we actually wanted to buy that day and nowI have to try and find another time to travel all the way east to buy them.
Cloth diapers are not cheap as an initial purchase ($ 13 a diaper!), but I reckon you don’t need as much as they’re saying. We’ll see if I am right or not.
Their pricing is competitive with online cloth diaper stores too.

Went in looking for a swimming diaper because we were in the area. The swim diapers are more expensive here than at other stores in Toronto. I looked at a few different items and that seemed to be the general feeling I got — the prices are all just a bit more inflated — perhaps because it’s in trendy Bloor West Village it can charge more.
That being said they had a well-​curated assortment of higher-​end products and a great selection of cloth diapers and cloth diaper accessories. This would be a great place to go if you were shopping for gifts for a baby shower but probably not a place you’d want to shop for your every day baby needs.

Lots of cute baby items, many unique. We dropped in here before attending a baby shower, and picked up the cutest sleep sac — made in Canada, organic, and with the cutest print of owls on it. The mother-​to-​be loved it! We also picked up some glass bottles, which I understand are all the rage, hah!
If I had babies, I would definitely love receiving gifts from this shop. I saw lots of gorgeous diaper bags (that don’t scream ‘hey I’m holding diapers and soothers’), cute onesies, knit booties, feeding supplies, toys, etc.
I saw that they also specialize in cloth diapers, but since I know nothing about these, I won’t even venture a review.
Great local shop. Prices are probably a little higher than average, but the quality and selection are also of a slightly higher calibre I’d say.

I love Diaper-​Eez. It’s a great resource for Mom’s in the bloor west village area. The staff are beyond friendly and always have time to explain products and have a quick chat. The products they have are a well thought out mix of essentials and fun items. The price point is about the same as the other baby shops of its calibre. They have a nursing room where you are free to breastfeed and change your baby in the back. It’s the only place in bloor west village with a dedicated nursing room and is so helpful! I have never found there to be pressure to buy when I go to browse, but always find the staff to take an interest in me, my baby and what type of products we are interested in.

That’s a shame that the store owner got labelled a hypocrite in another review. i thought she was incredibly helpful and didn’t put pressure on me to buy the most expensive cloth diaper on the market.
I went in there without a clue about cloth diapers. I asked for assistance and was given an hour long crash course on cloth diapers! She was incredibly nice and listened to my needs. I told her how I was on the fence about washing them myself because my dryer isn’t the greatest so she suggested the pocket diaper by Applecheeks. She didn’t force me to buy a whole supply of them right then and there so I just bought one shell and one insert to test out on my washer.
Now, I just have to wait for the baby to test it out on and if it works out, I’ll return to this store and buy more!

I live in the east end of the city. And I traveled 45 minutes with the babe ALL the way to Diaper-​Eez — that’s right, on the TTC to check out their carriers.
My midwife recommended the store above others because of their customer service and man was she right. The store isn’t too big or anything truly special but the customer service and friendliness is where they get you.
I went in looking for one of those crazy overpriced but so-​pretty-​that-​my-​husband-​would-​fight-​me-​to-​the-​death-​before-​he-​ever-​put-​it-​on baby carriers that every really fucking cool mom was toting around. I got all the way there and not only did they NOT have the carrier, they also didn’t have the demo! Bah. BUT they were more than happy to answer all of my questions and then let me try on everything else imaginable in the store.
At the end of the visit I ended up with my name on a waiting list and a hushed recommendation from the store owner to buy a different brand of carrier that I had never even heard of and that she didn’t sell in her store (which I ended up buying for a small fraction of the price of the original one I had in mind). And that’s because they don’t care necessarily about whether they make a sale, but what is best for the mom.
I’m just crazy enough to travel all the way out there again sometime!
