Dove is my go to cleaners for all of my high end, good quality clothes and bags. They are quite expensive but I feel for some items its worth it. The turnaround time is generally a decent, they don’t use detergents or chemicals and they have never damaged or lost any of my items. They only get 3 stars because they never deliver my items on time. I constantly have to call and remind them or inquire about where my items are.

Dove Cleaners in Yorkville, is, in my opinion, the worst dry cleaners that I have ever experienced in my life. I dropped off my suit and dress with them on Saturday, September 27, 2014. They promised that my suit and dress would be dry cleaned by the afternoon of Tuesday, September 30, 2014. I visited them on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 4 p.m. They said that I should return at 6 p.m. I returned at 6 p.m., and they said that my dry cleaning would arrive in five minutes. I told them that I needed my suit and dress immediately because I would be attending a conference outside Toronto the next day. After 30 minutes of waiting, I was told that they didn’t have my suit and dress, nor did they have any idea whatsoever where my suit or dress were. They said that they may have lost it. I started to look for a new suit and dress. They next day, at about 8:40 a.m. I called them and I asked where my suit and dress were. They said that they would be dropped off my hotel soon. Sure enough, about 10 minutes later, my suit and dress were dropped off at my hotel. The man from Dove Cleaners refused to leave my hotel until I paid the $ 100 bill that Dove Cleaners will still going to charge me, notwithstanding the fact that I did not have any cash. I am appalled. I received two telephone calls from the reception at my hotel saying that the man would not leave my hotel.

Prepare to be ripped off! They take your clothes and won’t quote prices until they«evaluate» each piece after you’ve left. We had 8 items and our total bill was over $ 200. They claim their process is a «green cleaning» system and this is why you pay more. Well if thats the case, why not tell us before we leave our clothes with you!!? Absurd that you basically pay the entire value of a shirt each time you clean it… why not just buy a new one? Maybe the location caters to affluent customers who don’t care but everyone should be aware that you pay over 20 $ per piece and they don’t tell you this until pick up. Ask to know before and the response is «we cant give you a price until we evaluate each item»…um ok. Why not just evaluate your items the way regular dry cleaners do. Also, they seem to charge more for expensive brands and actually put the brand names in brackets on your bill. The more expensive the blouse(regardless of fabric), the more they charge!!! Highway robbery if you ask me… never again.
