My practice is rooted on the principles of Gestalt therapy:
Paradoxical theory of change
Change occurs only when you allow yourself to be what you are, instead of trying to be what you would like to be. In sum, change occurs with supported awareness of what is.
Organismic self-regulation
Human beings have the inherent capacity to satisfy their needs and live in balance. If, for some reason, this function is interrupted you, as an organism, will adjust creatively to the conditions of your environment to regain balance.
Existentialism
Human beings are totally free and responsible for their own actions. The purpose of all Gestalt is to allow the client to be fully aware of his or her choices of how to live moment by moment
Historique
Fondé en 2008.
In my practice of medicine, I experienced the struggle that takes place between life and death, hopelessness and courage, vulnerability and strength, dignity and fear in the face of the unknown. Renewed with compassion, tenderness and respect for the human experience, my interest in the biological aspects expanded to include psychological and spiritual aspects. I realized that I wasn’t finding my place in the medical field and sought a holistic, person-centred approach to healing in Toronto where I facilitate clients’ connection with their existential selves, to define who they are and to work with what is available to them.
