I went with some friends and did the dark room.
Without giving away any info on the different puzzles, I’ll just say that the dark room is HARD! I don’t know how people finish any of these rooms in like 20 minutes.
I’d come here again for sure. It seems fun.
I keep thinking though: wouldn’t it be great if there were no explicit clues and the puzzles didn’t eventually lead to a bunch of lock combinations. It’s a nutty idea, but I’d love to try something like that, if one were to exist.

This place would be good for beginner/​first time escape room goers! Although the rooms are small, I felt that they maximized the space they did have; every nook and cranny had some sort of significance to the puzzle.
I did the Black Room with 2 other people; if I do another escape room here, I would probably bring 3 other people (but no more, it would be quite cramped). I thought that the room was designed pretty well, and some solutions were super creative.
The staff were friendly and very helpful! They will give you 2 clues for each puzzle; the nice lady was so good to the 3 of us! She realized that we were struggling (pretty pathetically) and even offered us a free clue!

Did the Davinci room with my cousins. Ultimately a set of fun puzzles, but I didn’t feel like most of them were challenging. Each puzzle seemed reliant on a specific «unique view» of the problem that you needed to take and didn’t really lend it self well to group efforts.
There was on puzzle that was related to time I thought pretty inventive, but the rest of it didn’t feel like a good challenge, just an interesting edge-​case problem.
Also, if they are going to do anything with blacklights, the ink needs to be strong enough. We spent easily ¹⁵⁄₄₅ minutes not realizing something was available because it was so faint.

This place is located in the middle of China town. There was a sizable lobby area for a downtown facility. The staff were courteous and the place was clean. We did the Biohazard room and the Black room. I liked the Black room much more and would recommend it. I was pretty disappointed with the Biohazard room as some of the puzzles had nothing to do with the theme and weren’t all that logical. Both rooms are very tiny. The Black room had some interesting puzzles even though it was themeless.

Great customer service, but the Da Vinci code is truly way too difficult to escape, and room was way too small for 6 people people to play.
Even the staff said only less than 10% of people had successfully completed the Da Vinci room. We left feeling unaccomplished and frustrated.

Just did the Black Room with group of 4. It’s so much FUN! Their puzzles are fun and they got some high tech stuff which is really cool. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
Price is reasonable. You get $ 2 off by checking in their Facebook and $ 3 off if you are a student.
I’d definitely come back again and try their other rooms!

I had never been to one of the escape room games before but I had always wanted to try them. I decided to try this place out I booked it last minute and there was a bit of room left for the night. I tried out the billiard murder room which is supposed to be the easiest room. I tried it with one other person and we did not get one.
The room was a lot fun and we weren’t able to solve our way out but we probably would have been able to if we had another 30 minutes. Can’t say much about it without ruining the room but none the less if you’re a first timer you should check this place out.

The worst room escape game I have ever played. Notice the reviews below and how the majority of Unilocalers giving this game 4 or 5 stars had NEVER done a room escape before, so understandably they had nothing to compare it to.
A group of my colleagues and I tried the Da Vinci room and although the set design was better than some of the other places I’ve tried, that was about it. It seemed as if little to no thought was placed into the creation of the game and as a result, the game turned out to be very chaotic. We solved the first room with great difficulty, and then the time ran out almost as soon as we entered the second room. The telltale sign of how disorganized EscapeZone is was when the staff came in after the buzzer rang and attempted to explain what we missed and to reveal to us how to escape the room. It was embarrassing to watch as they struggled to explain this to us and at the end, both my team and the staff were even more confused than before. Acknowledging this, she blamed it on the fact that the owner created the game and it was too complicated for her to remember. It was just a huge mess. Unless you created the game yourself or you have a mind that pays no mind to logic, sequence or flow, I’m willing to bet that it is simply not possible for you to escape this room. There are other room escape companies in the city that do a much better job at creating these puzzles, so I would recommend trying them first. The whole point of room escape is for you to think outside of the box, test your problem solving skills and to work as a team. Unfortunately at EscapeZone, no matter how adept you are at these skills, you will not be able to escape this room simply because the owner tried too hard to make the puzzle complicated, and in doing so, simultaneously made it more stressful than fun to solve.

My boyfriend dragged me, as well as 2 friends, to the escape zone yesterday. I never had any desire to intentionally go into a situation where I was trapped and given vague instruction, in a puzzle-​like fashion, to escape in 45 minutes. He, on the other hand, had some deep seeded need to be handcuffed and locked into a room with 3 other people, while clothed. Im still considering why we’re dating.
HOWEVER
this ish is F-​U-​N. We did the black room and succeeded. It was all of our first times, so if you’re a bit standoff-​ish, like I was, don’t be afraid to push yourself. The beginner room sounds like a bore. Have fun!

Friendly staff!
I went with friends. I was on time but the rest were late. Luckily, that no one booked after us, so we can still have our 45 mins to play the game. The lady was so nice enough to tell us that.
I like this place more than the other place I have played because:
1. I dont have to pay for all my friends in advance. Other places, I have to book and pay for all my friends. If they didnt show up, I still have to pay for them. This place, at least I show up and if my friends didnt show up, I dont have to pay for them. They just use need my credit card in case of no one shows up. That make sense to me.
2. I play with smaller group. Their rooms only hold up to 6 players. Easier to organize and you play with people that you know. The other place required 11 people and you ended up play others. it is harder to work with when you dont know them well. it went so disorganized at the end and unable to solve anything.
Definitely come back the other rooms I havent tried. :)

This was a really nicely put together escape room. Worth the money. They had a social media discount too.

This is the very first escape room that I ever tried, and to be honest I was a little disappointed due to the size of the room.
I went with a group of 6 and since we were kinda noobs we decided to try out the easiest room, which is the Billard Room. The room was so small (about 3m x 5m), and with the giant pool table in the middle it was difficult to move around.
From where I see the other rooms are just as small, if not smaller, so I think 4 people should be the maximum capacity for this place.
I do love the photo wall with the signs however, great for photo ops with friends and posting on Facebook lol.

This was my first escape experience and I can’t wait to go back.
My friends and I signed up for the Black Out room and while we were waiting for the previous group to «break out», we were kept occupied in the lobby with a number of card games and Jenga.
Once our room was ready, we locked up our valuables in a locker, got handcuffed and whisked away into the darkness.
Unfortunately, we did not break out within the 45 minute time frame and our brains were exhausted. I was very impressed with the abstract clues in the Black Out room and I still cannot get over our unsolved clues that made so much sense. Kudos to the game maker. The clues are definitely out of the box and if you’re good with optical illusions, try this one out.
The only bad thing about this place is the price. $ 25 is kind of steep for 45 minutes. I would love to come back, but I wish they offered more deals and discounts ie. one price for booking all 4 rooms in advanced, etc.

I played 2 rooms of 4 and they were both quite good. They have a few good uses of technology and the puzzle variety is good. The puzzle logic and organization of rooms is currently one of the best amongst GTA competitors. This place would rank in the top compared to equivalent scale puzzle room businesses. Would go back again.

I have been to a couple of escape the room games in the GTA area, and Breakout is by far the best!
I have tried 2 of their rooms, and had a lot of fun. My friends and I all had a great time!
The settings and décor are truly amazing. Great for challenging yourself and your friends.
I would recommend anyone to go try it! You will not be disappointed!
I will be back to breakout of more rooms!
