F As In Frank

This is the type of shop Queen West is famous for — vintage clothes! The second floor has a beautiful big mirror for checking out your latest vintage duds with sunlight streaming in. They have plenty of sales, so check them out online regularly. Need to find a NATO camo jacket that fits you? Take a look here. Does Toronto need more iconic Vancouver stores like this? Of course!

as a die-​hard do-​it-​myself thrifter, I recoil at the thought of giving my precious 5 stars to a curated vintage store in hipster central. but, well, I’m calling uncle.
FAIF has just seriously the best selection of everything you want and NOT at crazy-​high prices. and, they often have 30% off sales. but the piece de resistance… the taker of my 5 stars… is their staff. you wouldn’t expect it at a store like this, but they have the most insanely friendly staff. especially the guys. props, guys.

It’s hard to walk by F as in Frank without stopping in. They always have the coolest items in their window display! I love their reworked vintage pieces as well as their collection of onesies for the ladies. They’ve got an excellent selection of sunglasses and awesome snapbacks for the fellas that are exclusive to their store. The staff is friendly and good looking too! You can see them modelling their latest items are their blog… not too shabby!

I was visiting Toronto from London, England and absolutely loved F as in Frank! The vintage was clean and the selection was very well thought through. I was really excited to see what Toronto had to offer in terms of vintage and decided to have a look around dozens of stores before doing any major purchases. …Frank was one of the first stores I visited because of it’s central location and it was the store I kept coming back to! There is a lot of good vintage in Toronto but… Frank was my favourite — hands down!
They have some high end stuff and a lot of reasonably priced pieces. So there’s something for everyone.
The staff were lovely too! Friendly, helpful yet easygoing. Really nice people who went out of their way to help.
I hear they’re expanding and opening a second level which I look forward to visiting when I next come over to Canada!

Another import from BC has come to Toronto. F as In Frank has followed on the heels of some major Vancouver shops like Jonathan and Olivia and USED.
A modern but small space filled with vintage clothing and accessories. I came upon this place right after Nuit Blanche which meant that alot of the selection had disappeared with the hoards of art and late night enthusiasts. It was true. I did find it a bit empty but for any business open that night — the people, they shop while perusing art and drinking.
There is a great selection of vintage shades as well as some rather bedazzling outfits I would not be caught dead in. However, for hipsters and those fond of that kind of vintage attire — boys and girls alike have another venue to spend their dineros.
They also carry reworked vintage items distinctively different from Preloved further west on queen west.
My favorite part of the shop was the accessories. I did not find anything on this impromptu visit. Selection was really small at the time but perhaps next time.
