Goretti’s Hair Studio

I wish I could give them 4.5 stars. I have been going here for hair cuts for 3 years now and I have seen a few of the stylists but mainly see Cidalya. The cuts are pretty good, they are always able to book me in soon enough (a few days ahead) and I leave with the cut I want if I bring a photo. The price is also good.
Don’t be surprised, this find is in Little Portugal — my neighborhood. I have never seen another non speaking Portuguese person in there (other than my family) but I am proud to support the small businesses in my hood and I love to experience Toronto’s diversity.
You will find the TV on Portuguese soaps if you go in the daytime and if someone is dong a coffee run I have always been asked if I too would like something. They mostly speak Portuguese to each other but I never feel left out.
Probably not 5 stars as I would say about 30% of the time they don’t return my call if I leave a voice mail but they often answer the phone when open unless very busy.
Certainly not Angst or G’s but I am happy with my little neighborhood hair stylist.
