Sure, the menu choices are nice. Especially when you have a lot of work to do that you’d rather skip lunch, or are having a lazy day at home. But, my first Hurrier experience wasn’t the most pleasant.
I ordered during lunch time. I was told onscreen that my order would take 15 to 45 minutes — which is an extremely long range if you ask me. Here’s a hungry girl, who’s now hungrier having browsed all the options and she may just have to wait 45 minutes for her order. I was hoping it’d be sooner but expecting the worst — that I would get my order at the 40 minute mark. Surely they must have buffered in some additional time?!
Anyway, at the 40 minute mark, I receive a phone call saying that W Burger Bar has messed up my order and that they will need another 10 minutes. Now, this may not be a big deal to some of you. But how hard is it to get the order right? This is all transmitted via modern technology! I am not sure which party was at fault, but it seemed like the Hurrier employee kind of threw W Burger Bar under the bus a little. I would’ve been kinder if I hadn’t read some of the negative reviews. But this seems to be a common occurrence.
I am sticking to Ritual and UberEats. I’ll wait for Hurrier to refine their act.

This is officially my first Unilocal review and that is only because I am highly pleased with the service provided. They give a wide variety of locations for pick up and they are so efficient delivering.
I had a little hang up when my order was processed twice because of some resetting that happened while I was placing the order. They called me up immediately to confirm whether it was a mistake and cancelled the second order that had been placed! I got an update each step of the way and there it was at the door step of my hotel. I will be using this service for sure from now on!

THE BEST! Do you crave the excitement of the outside world but hate the inconvenience of putting on pants? Hurrier is perfect for you! They deliver from lots of delicious restaurants, and the service is fast, friendly, and fairly priced. I love how they keep you updated via text as your order is being prepared, picked up, and arriving. My only request is to provide some way to ask for modifications (e.g., no tomatoes on my wrap please). Love it!

Just used Hurrier first time. I like how many choices they have to order the food from. And I like that I can add the tip while placing the order.
My colleague forgot to use a discount code on her order so she contacted the customer service and they applied it post factum within seconds which is a great customer service in my books.
However, both of our orders came very squished — in mine all the ingredients just got mixed up which is ok as I would mix quinoa with the veggies anyway but my colleague’s wings got all mixed up with the BBQ sauce so she sent it back — she got a replacement order within half hour and for no extra charge but I see that there is some flaw with the delivery part…

I’ve got to say I have never left a Unilocal review but these guys deserve it. Over the last month I’ve been suffering with a broken neck and nerve damage in my left arm putting me out of my usual cooking routines. Hurried has held it down for me so hard. Have never had a hiccup with their service or delivery times. Delivery people are always extremely nice and timely. Offer great variety of menu options. Not enough good things to say about these guys

I seriously have no objection to paying a higher delivery charge for a superior product and the list of restaurants participating really is most impressive. However, for that premium, I don’t expect to be told it would be a 2 hour window. I filled in the «Contact Us» form to query this and received an email (despite the fact that they had a phone number) which when I finally read it, it was already 24 minutes after the fact stating they were busy and did I still want to proceed with the order? Well of course I did, I was merely questioning the ridiculously long delivery time. There response was that they «put a warning on every page» about delays in delivery, however then stated it «probably wouldn’t be that long». Well guess what? It was longer! I received a text message 1 and a half hours AFTER I placed it to say it was «Now being prepared». Need to get their act together or follow the footsteps of TasteAway and just «Waste Away». Will think twice about ordering again! Cheaper to phone the restaurant and call my own UBER!

I don’t know why I waited so long to try these guys out, but I’m glad I finally did!
I ordered fish and chips from The One That Got Away (not on their preferred list), and it showed up in under 30 minutes, with text messages giving me updates every step of the way.
The courier was friendly and service was wonderful. Nice to see a Toronto start-​up that actually works.

Best food delivery service I have used, I rarely write reviews as you can see from my account history, but so happy with these guys I want to share it with all who are tired of fighting Toronto traffic to pickup food!

3 stars instead of 4(or 3.5) due to the way they cancel orders for some baffling reason.

Hi, I’m really upset about the services you provided. I ordered my food at 6:30pm however the food is still nowhere to be seen at 8:40pm. I called Burger’s Priest and apparently you only just placed my order less than 10 minutes ago. For the past 1.5 hours that me and my 16 coworkers have been waiting, we could have cabbed to Burger’s Priest ourselves and picked up the food.
Similar incident happened a few months ago when we were trying to order Ghandi’s Roti through you guys and the order got cancelled almost an hour after I submitted it, due to the number of items in our order exceeding the maximum number of items per bag, which was never communicated to us before I submitted the order and I was not given a call on my cellphone for the notification. You should not be named Hurrier for this kind of speed. If you are short-​staffed and takes 1.5 hours to assign one hurrier to pick up our order, maybe you should consider hiring more instead of keeping customers waiting on their empty stomach.
I would not use Hurrier again and I will let all my friends know not to use Hurrier again. You are better off going to the Burger’s Priest and pick up the food up yourself, if you don’t want to starve for 2 hours.

Ordered gushi chicken, got here in 30 min with prompt constant status updates. For me to drive there one way would be 20 min. No idea how the guy biked it so fast! A bit pricey but very good service!

Came across this site via NOW magazine. I’ve used it twice ordering from Caplansky’s and Salad King.
I’ve found it to be WAY better than comparable sites — Order It and Just Eat. I found Just Eat really frustrating and their selection of restaurants and service totally unimpressive and underwhelming.
In comparison, Hurrier hit all the essential aspects. A really trendy and delicious selection of restaurants. I find this really important, as comparable sites often seem to have NO filter, resulting in subpar food, subpar service and ridiculous prices for the food given. Hurrier’s list of restaurants is totally attractive and perfectly suits the downtown crowd. It really helps to interrogate the idea of delivery food as subpar. I was really happy to find downtown favourites, a good selection of hot meals, meals for all types of dietary and lifestyle needs — making it feel like you didn’t have to settle for gross food just because you wanted delivery.
There was amazing integration of email (consistent updates to let you know when the courier has picked up your items and when they reach drop off point) which I found really useful. I loved that everything could be done via website including tip. Pretty much when the courier arrives at your door you just grab the food from them (really good for avoiding awkward/​prolonged interactions at your front door).
The couriers are polite and really, really speedy.
Best of all, the orders are done right. So far my orders have been correct, the timing has been accurate, and upon arrival none of the items affected/​leaking/​etc.
My only suggestion would be a feature that would either sort restaurants by food type or would offer descriptions of restaurants in addition to logo. So far the site relies upon brand recognition/​recognizing the logo, so I found it a bit annoying to have to click through to learn what each restaurant was about if I didn’t know all the names well. But I’m guessing the site has done it the way it did because it is still building its restaurant list and may not have the volume to warrant a search/​filter option.
Other than that, I am definitely a fan of Hurrier and this is now my go-​to site for deliveries!
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a fast, delicious, inspiring meal!

This service is definitely convenient when you want something but don’t want to leave the house.
However, you will pay dearly for it. I used my Visa Debit card when I placed my order, which was a terrible idea apparently. Hurrier puts a «hold» of $ 50 plus the delivery cost on your card, if you use a Visa debit this means that amount will be taken from your account. When I noticed this i emailed Hurrier (and got a quick response, so points for that) and was told the difference between the cost of what I ordered and the $ 57.19 I was charged would be credited back to my account in a few days, sadly what happened was i was recharged the actual amount of the order. So 4 days later, no credit into my account and I have paid $ 84.08 for two bowls of $ 8 Phở from Golden Turtle.
Will NOT be using this service again, even with an actual real credit card, just to much hassle.

I emailed Hurrier a few days ago and was told it takes 3 — 5 business days, now you say 5 — 10? Great. Also, I emailed Hurrier yesterday before I wrote this review and have still not gotten a response (almost 24hrs later).
You should let people know about the 50 $ hold on the page that comes up for payment, not on the FAQ page. Especially since you accept Visa Debit.

Used this service to order lunch from Banh Mi Boys for the office last week. Food arrived within the agreed time frame. We were charged approx $ 20.00 including surcharge and tip for the delivery which we felt was more than reasonable given that they were delivering 14 sandwiches from Gerrard St to Toronto St. We were charged double that amount by Bellybuster for delivery of the same amount of sandwiches. For this reason I would definitely use them again.

Hurrier is one of those companies that when you stumble upon it, you think «why didn’t I come up with that?» It’s a bike messenger service that can deliver almost anything in the downtown area. Have a fav restaurant that doesn’t deliver? Feeling sick but need to buy some items at the pharmacy or local grocery store? Wanna deliver something to your friend 2 blocks up but you’re feeling lazy and hate seeing her boyfriend? Hurrier will pick it up and drop it off with most services being under $ 10. I’ve already used them to deliver Big Smoke Burger for dinner and I can see them being a main reason for any diets going out the window. They also have certain restaurants that have coupled with their service (Burger’s Priest, Grand Electric, Buster’s Sea Cove, to name a few).
They send constant status updates by email so you know when they’ve picked up your item and it’s on its way. They also have a handy online tip feature if you don’t have any change on hand.
Their customer service is great. I ordered from Big Smoke and they forgot to add the drink to my combo. Hurrier called the restaurant, got me a free drink the next time I go in plus they gave me a discount code valid the next time I use their services.
There are so many possibilities of using this company and, with their great service, I see me using them (and recommending them) regularly. And just when I thought I’d curbed my laziness this year…
