Jade Wellness Spa Clinic

Terrible. We never even got a chance to go to the spa to begin with. I called the receptionist to book an appointment for my partner and I several days in advance. We had planned on getting several treatments done had it gone well. I noticed they called us twice to confirm it was 4pm for the scheduled day and agreed — yes that’s correct. I asked the lady twice if she understood. This morning we got a call telling us they were waiting for us to arrive at 12. We reminded them we had it booked for 4pm (how could anyone mix this up?). The ladies on the phone are Asian and we had a very difficult time understanding them. It was clear English is not their strong suit, but we tried our best anyway to let them know we had booked it for 4pm. Strangely enough they said «no you come now — we are too busy at 4pm»? Now it became clear they didn’t forget our time at all — they were trying to change it on us.
I’ve never been talked to like that before and said «we will take our business elsewhere unless you have a time available later in the evening…»
They called us back twice to try and change the date on us still or save face but by then they had still refused to even give us a discount. Rediculous!!! We now are scrambling to find another decent spa to go to. I can only imagine what the actual services are like…

This is the 3^rd time I go for an RMT massage, Yvonne was great but I just found out she went back to school at least I was told so.
I‘ve been in many spas from Novo, stillwater to senses, rain… the only reason i kept going was because of the excellent massage The place is very small and you can hear everything between rooms: the phone ringing, ladies cleaning bowls, customers, employees speaking cantonese loudy…
You are not invited a glass of water at least.
The appointment system on line in ther website doesnt work properly. I made the appointmet on line for today thinking everything was okay when I arrived the place Judy my RMT was surprised as she didnt see any appointment in the system and mentioned they experienced a lot of issues… why is up in the website: unsolved mistery!!!
My appointment was for 4 oclock however it started 5 occlock because of the system… and i was late 12 minutes):
I had the worst experience ever when my massage was interrupted more than 3 times cause the other ladies needed Judy to tell them where some stuff was… I just couldnt take it anymore, once its okay… the other lady works at another location and doesnt know where the paraffin is (i was told), but 3 times!!!
I decided to stop the treatment and asked Judy to leave the room to dress up and leave. I told her I wouldnt pay for the treatment as it was unacceptable the lack of quality and respect
She was nervous and concern not because of me but how the manager would react and if she will pay her I told her I can talk to her, I tried but unfortunately her english didnt help, so judy translated for me that she wanted me to pay at least $ 20 which I refused
I am so sorry for Judy, she was performing a good massage however the circunstances were awful.
I wont go back to this spa and wont recommend doing it… I dont think you are missing a thing):

I had the most fantastic experience at the Jade Wellness Spa (yonge and Lawrence location) today. I had a relaxing massage and back scrub that made me feel 10 years younger and 10 pound lighter. I can’t even remember the last time I felt so relax and invigorated. i was so impressed with their work, I booked another appointment later this week for mani/​pedi and wax treatment.

you get what you paid for but for a tiny place like this, my service was well beyond my expectations. Jody was excellent, she’s good at massages (especially deep tissue) and a pro at mani/​pedis. I’m usually very particular about French pedis and she did exactly as asked. would def go back!

I called to make an appointment at the Yonge location but it was full so I was referred to the Eglinton location.
I called the day of my appointment to notify them that we would be late for our 1pm massage and they said it was fine, as long as we got there by 1:30. When I arrived (before 1:30), the girl said they aren’t able to do our treatment but to come back at 3, which we couldn’t. We told them we called and they said it was fine if we were half an hour late.
She showed us their handwritten agenda of the day, it turns out we were not even booked and there was another appointment booked at the same time. The girl at the Eglinton location said that the Yonge location takes their calls and makes the appointments. I called the manager and told her what had happened and she tried to convince us to go to the Yonge location to be treated right away. We were on a tight schedule so we couldn’t but after this experience, we will not be trying to go back again.
