«Jimmy!!! It’s called Jimmy’s Coffee! We HAVE to go!» *Goes in the store and begins to sell Jimmy’s Coffee t-shirts and merchandise(I don’t even work there)* That being said, I was definitely a tinyyy bit biased from the start. We were wondering around Kensington Market and almost ready to leave when we stumbled upon this charming little coffee shop. I was cold so I threw out my iced capp and went in for a cup of hot coffee. So Jimmy got us a double shot cappuccino from Jimmy’s Coffee! :) I’m no coffee connoisseur, but my taste buds do recognize the taste of rich, smooth, and bright coffee. I love the huge bookcase on the side of the wall, especially that Coca-cola tin. I noticed that there was a backyard with outdoor seating at the back. Will definitely come back here in the summer to try their cold drinks. But as the first coffee shop I’ve been to in Toronto, I think I’ve started off the New Year on the right foot… with Jimmy.

My friend and I went for Dim Sum in Chinatown so was in the area. I wanted my caffeine fix along with something sweet so we wandered around Kensington. As it was January 1st, most if not all shops were closed; however, Jimmy’s Coffee was open! It’s quite clean for a shop in Kensington; JC also has character so the décor is not like your cookie cutter chain coffee shop. As you enter, you can check out unique JC products including beanies, coffee makers, and coffee beans named after famous Jimmy’s(Hoffa, Hendrix, Dean). If you want something more than coffee, they also serve Pluck teas and various baked goods. I enjoyed a chocolate + espresso scone, which was pretty amazing. The latte I ordered was quite good as well; it was a one shot latte that managed to be strong. Lastly, the service was excellent. If I had to work on New Year’s, I’m certain that I would have been grumpy. Anyway, they were personable and friendly. Good for: coffee/tea, hang outs, studying

It’s a cute coffee shop in the Kensington Market area. There’s a charm around the random array of tables and chairs. I ordered the chai latte, and while I didn’t fancy it too much, I still enjoyed the aura of the establishment.

Extremely relaxed vibe, mixed patrons, polite and friendly batista’s. From the entrance the scent is mildly coffee. The furniture and décor is cozy but not cramped. If there was a definition of a friendly café, it would probably be this location. Perhaps one of the reasons it works so well is the location, Kensington market certainly must have the effect of making any venue that much more friendly.

I love the ambience here. I could sit here all day with a latte and a good book. I like how their drinks are not overly sweet. It has a very chill and artistic vibe and a must every time I am in the Kensington market area. Try it today if you haven’t!

We stopped in at Jimmy’s while we were on a tour with Urban Adventures. Honestly, Jimmy’s is everything you think of when you think«coffee shop.» It’s modern and retro all at once with prices that well exceed what you’d prefer to pay and comes complete with patrons fixated on electronic devices. Now, I didn’t hate Jimmy’s, but I didn’t find anything refreshingly different and unexpected. One thing that Jimmy’s does is feature photos of all sorts of Jimmies to include Jimmy Carter and Jimi Hendrix, which is appreciably amusing. They do offer outdoor seating, and it does appear to be a hot spot in the Kensington Market area. I would say that if you’re like me and you like to try restaurants that aren’t associated with a national chain and you’re in the area, stop in. However, I can’t say that I’d come all the way from the far side of the city just to enjoy a cold brew at Jimmy’s.

Jimmy’s coffee always have the best taste of coffee. Jimmy’s Coffee looks small when you see from Baldwin, but inside is pretty big and has a beautiful patio. Their inside decoration is cozy and you can relax and have a cup of coffee. People there are very nice and the staff is nice.

I’m a fan! I was recommended Jimmy’s by a friend and FIKA was closed on Thanksgiving, so my friend and I walked back through Kensington to find Jimmy’s for morning coffee. We ordered two lattes — and they tasted great. Nice and strong flavour. The layout of this place long and narrow — you order at the front and then there are seats in the back and an outdoor patio. The place is clean and comfortable, with the vibe that is very cozy like you are having coffee in someone’s living room. As for the ambiance, I found the volume to be just right — a little background noise, café music, and tail ends of other people’s conversations — but generally, it wasn’t distracting or too loud. I reckon it is a great place for conversation or quiet work/study. There’s also free wifi, if that matters. :) Note: Cash only!

I really love their backyard patio — great ambiance. This location is always busy on the weekend, hard to get a table sometimes but it’s a great spot to get work done if a table is available! I love that they have almond milk — almond milk cappuccino is my go to item here! They have vegan and gluten free snacks as well for those with dietary restrictions. For tea lovers, they have a huge selection of flavours… I love their jasmine green tea. Service is always great.

Jimmy’s Coffee is the spot for my caffine fix most times when I’m in the city. The espresso they use is this rich, almost nutty taste but isn’t bitter, super smooth. Recommend a americano instead of a coffee just for a bolder taste experience obviously, however the coffee is great too, some yummy snacks(baked goods) are also available, its a great place :)

The book case, wall art, mismatching chairs and metal walls and ceiling all add to the eclectic and cozy feel of the coffee shop. I also like the fact that there are outlets too! Great for catching up on work if you’re in the Kensington area.

It’s everything a coffee shop should be. Good selection of baked goods, big welcoming smile, a place to sit, trendy décor and music that inspires a chill and thoughtful mood. And of course, of course, great coffee in a safe space devoid of pretentiousness. Excellent.

Jimmy’s is a coffee joint in the Kensington Market area. It’s cozy but not cramped, which is particularly nice for the area of prime real estate. There are tons of other coffee options around, ie. Moonbean, but I think this might be my favorite spot in the area in terms of the ambiance. Wifi and electrical outlets available. I’ve ordered plain coffee in the past and it’s good. The pricing is also pretty average. There’s not really too much else I can say, I can’t really speak about their«fancy» drinks. Definitely worth a visit for a cup of coffee in Kensington.

Solid type of good, not life-changing, coffee along the lines of third wave. I like the décor and the layout, with the wittily austere pictures of famous Jims, Jimmies, and Jimbos accompanied by the dark moodiness expectant of your suburban neighborhood Jimmy. I myself am a Jim Carrey enthusiast and was, with the newfound boost of the satisfying latte I ordered,(perhaps overly) appreciative of this thematic homage to the café name. So, if you have a bowl-cut and are looking to be boosted, but not altered, in your life, Jimmy’s will do.

Needed to beat the heat with a cold drink. Opted for a JOV(Jimmy’s Very Own) which is like a caramel latte $ 4.50 for a large. Done to perfection. Loved the outdoor seating in the back. Just a bunch or random tables and chairs slapped together but that’s what gives this place its charm. There were so many people on their laptops having a nice drink in the open sun. If those people were actually doing work then I don’t know how they got anything done. It was just pure relaxation outside.

Very friendly service! Iced latte was good($ 3.75 for a small one, little bit pricey). They have outdoor seatings, should be very cozy. Only thing is that the«clean» spoons look not that clean.

Great serivce and very knowledgeable staff. Had a pecan square that was out of this world. It is a busy location with a fair amount of seating. If you are willing to wait 10 min you are more than likely to find a seat open up.

Cheerful and bright, moody and dark… all 4 rolled up into this quaint little place. There are a few tables in the back which lend to that cos feeling of having tea or coffee in a library of a mansion. Tall bookcases with books, eclectic décor items(old school typewriters etc) make you want to keep on ordering just to sit here a while longer. It appears there is a patio in the back, which of course in the winter is closed. It must be lovely to sit there in the summer so I must go back when the weather is warmer So after a long day of shopping in Kensington rest your feet and your mind in here!

My friend took me to Jimmy’s Coffee today and we sat on the patio out back with a cold drink. This is a very hip coffee shop nestled in the heart of Kensington Market, serving hot and cold drinks, and some baked goods to go with it. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff are very friendly and cheerful. Don’t miss out, put Jimmy’s Coffee on your ‘to try’ list, stat!
