Juice Rush

I ordered a honey milk tea and it came out super sweet and I asked them to adjusted it for me and at first they thought I wanted more honey so they squeezed more thru the little hole I poked and I was confused for a second. I thought what they squeezed in my drink was just something to dilute the sweetness. I went back again and the guy fixed it immediately and even let me try it before they sealed the cup. Pretty nice.

Located in the food court at yonge and dundas, this spot is between my gym in the basement and the movie theatre I often frequent after the gym. As I was seeing my second film of the week, I decided against popcorn and needed something to hold me over until after the movie (and help me fill time as I waited for my friend). I decided on bubble tea after walking around the food court more than two times — I am a girl who cannot make up her mind.
The girl at the counter was friendly and I ordered a green tea with tapioca. A staggering five dollars later, I received my bubble tea and enjoyed a powdered sugary mess. I don’t believe in not finishing food, especially food that I’ve bought, but I threw it out half full. The tapioca wasn’t chewy but hard and crusty and was asking to be thrown out.
I did another lap of the food court looking at what I could have had.

I wanted to be healthy and ordered a small carrot juice for $ 3. However, they didn’t have carrots. So I decided to try the bubble tea with tapioca, which was a bit disappointing. Bubble tea costs $ 3.99 and tapioca is $ 0.99 extra. For almost $ 6 with tax, I didn’t get that much of a drink. I went from trying to be healthy to gaining worthless calories real quick. I’m pretty sure they use powder for the flavors, and it was thin instead of a thicker consistency. The tapioca were good and chewy. I’m used to fresh fruit thick bubble tea for $ 4 in Chicago, so I will not be returning here.
