I’ve been to this LensCrafters a few times and purchased my glasses from here. The glasses were delivered very quickly: 8 business days instead of the projected 14. The challenge was that once I got them they weren’t adjusted properly. After a few days I came in for an additional adjustment because my ear was hurting from the pressure from the position of the frame. A second adjustment didn’t fix it. I came in a third time and they adjusted it again – this time the glasses didn’t hurt to wear for extended periods anymore. 3-and-a-half months later I returned with a new complaint. Although I bought the upper-tier«scratch-proof» lenses and methodically treat my possessions carefully, my lenses were getting scratched rather easily. The store manager told me that the lenses were defective(she also discovered that the lenses were brittle, they had chips within the frame that I couldn’t see until they were removed) and that she’d replace them at no cost. Ultimately I’m leaving a 4 star rating because, although I had issues, I’m really happy with my glasses, their quality, the price, the warranty and, most of all, my most recent customer service experience involving the store manager.

I went to get a pair of prescription eyeglasses at Lenscrafters. I had seen my friend wearing a pair of non-prescription eyeglasses for Hallowe’en, and asked if I could steal them and make them into my real glasses. I then took them to Lenscrafters, with my prescription in hand, and asked if they could put new lenses in the frames. The lady said no problem, took my eye measurements, took my prescription, and said I could come back in a week. I thankfully had benefits at the time, so even though the cost was $ 270, I only paid $ 70 out of pocket. Otherwise, I would be even more mad than I already am. Within two weeks, the frames started to crack(they’re plastic). I decided to take them to the place I used to get my eyeglasses from. The man behind the counter said that the type of frame doesn’t hold such a thick lens, and that he couldn’t even glue it back together because it would never supposed the lens. They ended up just falling apart right on my face. The woman at Lenscrafters should have told me this and never should have bothered putting in my prescription once she saw the quality of the frames I brought in. :(Such a disappointment, and I can’t get new glasses for 2 years with benefits.

This place is small, but has an excellent supply of glasses. They have a large range in designers, styles and prices. They are also conveniently located underground on Bloor across from Holts/Zara, accessible from Bay and Bloor/Yonge Stations without ever having to surface! I went in and got a pair of Burberry frames, and the lenses were half off. They ALWAYS have a deal, and spending 500 on designer frames and lenses with all the frills(thin, anti glare, anti scratch) is totally worth it in my mind. I found the service helpful, but not too pushy and fake. My glasses arrived within a week of me ordering them and they do tune ups for free.
