I loved baked goods so I have pretty high expectations when it comes to cookies and such. But when #blogTO calls it one of the best bakeries in Toronto, I trust their judgement.
Looking for a small treat, I came in here on my second visit (didn’t get anything the first time — wanted to scope things out), and decided to get a minature chocolate covered gingersnap cookie. It looked decadent, and I was pretty excited. I was expecting full of flavour and hoping that this round treat would be soft and moist…
well none of that happened. It was not soft and chewy, rather dry and crumbly… no sure how long they had been sitting in the pastry case… it was very bland and to my disappointment had NO ginger flavour at all. I would have named it the Chocolate covered Cinnamon cookie because that was all I could taste.
Maybe I should have picked something else like the extremely appealing turnover, or croissant… but I expect everything to be tasty. This was definitely a let down.
