I wear false eyelashes religiously — actually, every time I wear makeup, which is just about every day. I’ve tried buying mink eyelashes before from other online vendors. Mink falsies are typically an investment, as they’re typically 5−6X the cost of regular human hair eyelashes. Madame Mink is no exception. Most of their lashes are $ 20 or more. The pair I purchased ran me a little less than $ 35(to include shipping). I scoured the internet and their social media pages, but I couldn’t locate a coupon or promotion code to capture some cost savings, so I ended up paying full price. Shipping was pretty fast. They arrived in this very cute box. When I opened the box, I was surprised to see the band was very thin. With most mink eyelashes I’ve seen, the band is very thick, which presents challenges in applying your falsies. Anywho… I was really excited to see the band was thin which would lend to a more natural look. So, yesterday I applied them for the first time. I got the«Foxy» style. They looked GREAT on! They held up all day, and felt very light, so I was feeling like I may have finally found a mink eyelash vendor I could work with. Well, that good feeling was short lived. Today, I tried reapplying them. Note: You should get multiple uses out of your falsies — especially mink ones — if you take care of them properly. As I always do, I gently removed the glue from the last application before re-applying. Well, honey in doing so, the entire band separated from the hair. I was shocked, because I was very gentle. It totally deconstructed the hair pattern and left me with a nice mess. I wrote the vendor to let them know. At $ 30 bucks a pop, they really need to address that. For this reason, I won’t be patronizing Madame Mink, again. UPDATE: I received an email from the company promising to send another pair. That was more than 2 and a half weeks ago. My email to inform them that I did not receive the replacement lashes went unanswered. I RECOMMENDYOUSTAYAWAYFROMTHISONLINEVENDOR!
