MYNC Lash Lounge and Brow Bar

For Christmas I received one of those 5x magnifying make-​up mirrors… nevertheless, it made me realize the state of my eyebrows. I did some searching and reviewing reading and came across MYNC. I made my appointment and got ready for my eyebrow shaping experience. I showed up about 10 minutes early and my eyebrow guru (not sure if that is what they are called… but I think it would be a neat name) was read to see me.
She sat me down and asked me a few questions about my current grooming pattern (which sadly to say is none) and and so she proceeded. She mapped out everything perfectly and gave me a general idea of what I should expect my eyebrows to look like… and off she went plucking away.
Once the plucking was done, she asked me if I wanted to see how she would fill my brows, so that I can do it at home… I appreciated that. She showed me step by step what I will need to do. All and all I can officially say my eyebrows are on Fleek (hope I used that term correctly lol)

Nice open clean establishment. Staff is knowledgable and friendly. I go here specifically to get lash extensions (pretty in mink option) I’m never disappointed. They may be a little too pricy for some people, but I’ll pay that extra bit for quality.

The customer service was great– the girl at the cash desk greeted me and offered a lemon water while I filled out a quick waiver. Within a quick 1 minute wait, Zoe escorted me to my seat and worked her magic on my brows! She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Super nice girl. She explained what she was doing and was very understanding of my wants and needs. After 20 – 25 mins, I was done. She applied a cooling aloe gel/​ointment so there wouldn’t be any redness after waxing. She also filled my brows with powder/​wax and used concealer to hide any red areas from post-​wax. The end result was great. She even offered a complimentary lip colour, but I already had on lipstick.
A little pricey but I only ever need to get a brow wax 2 – 3 times/​year at the most anyway. It is a «pamper-​myself» kind of spa, but well worth it if you don’t need to go often. Highly recommended.

Once upon a time, you could get your eye brows waxed at the beauty parlour and shaped at the mercy of the stylist!
But there must be sufficient demand that strictly brow beauty services can succeed!
I find it fascinating! I don’t go often. I believe I’ve been there a total of 3 times throughout a year and a half of going. I have no regrets of the service nor complaints. This is a luxury. A pick me up. A treat. Only done on special occasions. Or when I feel I need help in getting styled and beautified.
The aestheticians are incredible! Patient and very helpful. They are artists in their own right and help style you.

It’s expensive here but the technicians are knowledgeable and know what they’re doing. They explain what theyre doing especially if it’s your first time.

If I could give this zero stars I would. However, not based on the actual service itself, as I wouldn’t know. When I called to make my first appointment the lady on the phone placed me on hold MULTIPLE times only to then ask me for all of my personal information. I provided her with my name, my phone number, and my e-​mail address. However, she then asked me to provide my credit card information in order to secure the appointment slot over the phone. I told her that it’s not that I wouldn’t give her the number, but that I simply do not use a credit card and thus did not have a number to give. I was told that I could not reserve an appointment spot then because this was just company policy, but that she could call me 45 minutes before the appointment if it was still available. I don’t know about everyone else, but I have a very busy schedule and I do not have time to be sitting around waiting for a phone call, especially because I was trying to fit this appointment in before work. I explained this to her and told her that I have to leave my area about an hour in advance to be able to arrive at their location (down the street from my job), and thus the 45 minute prior call would not work for me. However, I was told that unfortunately I just wouldn’t be able to come in then. I get this is your company policy, but you are SERIOUSLY deranged if you think this is the way to develop loyal customers. As it happens, I just moved here and have been looking for somewhere to get my eyebrows done routinely and this will NOT, I repeat, NOT, be the place.

I have been going to this salon for almost a year now to have my eye brows shaped and threaded. Maryam is my favorite girl to see! She is so sweet, helpful and amazing at shaping brows. I also want to say that I adore the décor in this salon, it’s so girly and chic. I haven’t tried their other services yet, but if you need your eye brows shaped and cleaned up this is the place to go and Maryam is the lady to see!

My first visit happened to be on my birthday month, so I got my brows shaped for free! I had Maryam. She took her time, waxed and tweezed, filled them in for me with powder, and even told me how to tweeze at home. I was really impressed by how good my brows looked. Kinda feel guilty that my brows turned out so great and I didn’t even pay a penny!
