Wow what an event. My plan to pace myself with the food did not work. By the time we got to Scaddabush I was done. So Dukes! Thank you Unilocal for the introduction to this place. It is so my kind of place. Casual, fun, great place to go for after work drinks. I managed to drag some of my work crowd here last week, which is no easy feat. As everyone pointed out the organisation was on point. We moved from place to place seamlessly with nobody getting lost on the way or unnecessary hubbub. Scaddabush the manager was very friendly and came round to each table to chat and check on everyone. I am usually one to say no to desert but my «okay one spoon» approach failed and soon turned into full on sweet tooth monster. Reds was fantastic. I love g&t so to be greeted by huge goblet sized gin cocktails was a real treat. There were even oysters although I held off on these and opted for some shuffle board. All in all an amazing event, great Unilocalers as always.

Not often do I find myself unable to express myself in words and feel that I can properly convey and give justice to what I am attempting to explain. You know those things? I’m sure everybody comes across them now and again. While it cannot be properly paralleled with such things as the miracle of birth, the Grand Canyon, the Sistine Chapel or an epiphany of epic magnitude I still feel that I cannot properly explain what last night was like. OMG? more like WTF. This was beyond any sort of expectation I had and I wouldn’t be going too far to say that I can’t think of a single person that attended this event and came out disappointed. It is not possible to not be impressed with the service and planning, presentation and grandeur, efficiency and connectivity. Food? Seriously I actually considered eating first. I’m glad I didn’t and I still came out feeling overindulged. I mean was there a single person left wanting last night? Really… I’m asking you if you went did you feel you didn’t get enough of anything and everything? I felt like I was at some sort of all inclusive or vacation. Everything was ethereal to the point that I was kept in a constant state of being blown away one minute to the next. If there is such a thing as too much we hit that marker a ways back my friend. When I am too full to eat pizza, meatballs, oysters, ribs and calamari… yes there’s something wrong here and what was wrong is that I can’t possibly put into my body what physically can no longer go in. Time and space just like Einstein’s theory goes well we only had so much time and there’s only so much space. Drinks? More than I wanted. Do you know me? That’s impressive… While the night went on there’s also only so much one can safely consume and have function of one’s faculties at a responsible level. We’re not talking malt liquor here. This is not some cheap wine out of a box or watered down swill. No my friends this is quality get your freaking drank on kind of drank. This is not drinking, this is imbibing. These are not glasses filled with alcohol, these are libations. What’s the difference? One is just a drink, the other is for the team that is Unilocal. That is how you take it to another level. 1900 hours = DUKES The first meeting place where we were asked to proceed upstairs to the terrace and enjoy a private section. The area filled up quickly with Elite Unilocalers enjoying both a taste of cider and a beer. Planks of apps were rolling through the area like there was a contest to get rid of the food. I swear there was so much food being brought up I found it hard to find others that didn’t’ get any of a particular app. –Mexican style flat bread with melted cheese and beef –Bacon cheeseburger sliders –Club sandwiches –Tacos 2000 hours = SCADDABUSH After rounding up and traversing to the adjacent business we were again parading our line inside and up the stairs yet again to a private area with several tables and one long main table. This area was large enough to comfortably accommodate everyone and when I say everyone how many people did we have last night? 50ish? The service was incredible here and they were happy to serve and present us with their menu items that they are proud to serve as they should be. Drinks –started off with Blood orange mojitos. Amazing drink not too sweet –bottled Moretti(Italian Lager) –house chianti, asked for just a taste — received a glass Mains and apps –mozzarella on crostini, butternut squash raviloi(awesome), penne in red sauce, half pound meatballs, pizzas(meat, veggie, marguerita) Desert –a tray consisting of tiramisu in a jar, cheesecake and pie«raviolis» with gelato The service at Scaddabush was overwhelmingly friendly and welcoming. I had finished my mojito pretty quick before I was asked if I would like another drink. After I had my beer the manager was pouring us wine. Overall we were simply inundated with goodies left right and center. We didn’t have places to put the new food that just kept coming. The atmosphere in this upstairs space is really nice. It’s intimate but large enough to accommodate. I can see this place being great for large parties. 2100 hours = REDS While most of us were under the influence of being a bit full from Scaddabush it’s really convenient that the next stop is again right next door. We didn’t get a chance to walk off the feast we just consumed before moving on to the next. Reds had an entire section of the bar for just us. Again here comes the food: –ribs –oysters –ceviche –burger sliders –calamari The drinks were a unique looking blend of different types of gin and tonics in rather mini fishbowls with stems. Mine had thyme in it while the others had strawberries. They had a G&T menu consisting of a wide variety of flavors. I want to thank Evelyn and Unilocal for another well organized event. The namesake of this event truly lives up to and goes beyond all expectation 100%.
